The Healshare Talent needs to be overhauled, but how? Currently it's a noob trap and also a waste of talent slot

Back on V1, it was OP as hell, and probably the best trinket. In this game…it’s literally just an excuse to limit all 20 career to only two options in THP generation talents.

It’s a noob trap that you only see used in new players. The only time I’ve ever considered it’s usage is probably… on bots that I don’t trust will know how to generate THP

But what should be done about them?

  1. Delete and replace with a 3rd THP talent? BH could really use a non-garbage THP generator.

  2. Rework it completely so it’s useful… somehow

It is good for some builds and also it is good to give it to one of the bots you use…

It exists to be given to bots, and it excels at that, leave it as it is. The real problem are the other two options, there is a clear hierarchy between the temp hp talents, some are superior to others in all but the most niche cases. They do need a rebalance, and there need to be a greater variety of temp hp talents, including ranged options for BH, WS, RV and Huntsman (acknowledging that Huntsman already has one but it’s not lvl 5 and it’s horrendously garbage).

yeah healshare is excellent on bots, they chug healing and don’t generate thp well anyway. and it’s okay on SotT and as an added boon in Chaos Wastes. or on the weakest thp generator in your human player party like a bounty hunter, if you have others on the team who give thp like merc/unchained/RV

i agree with hungarian, it’s the temp health talents that are rarely interesting choices, there’s a right and a wrong answer for most weapons. occasionally it can come down to build and playstyle, but usually there’s one choice.

i do agree that lvl 5 talents are noob traps, same with lvl 15 talents, there’s either one right answer or the difference is so nuanced you need to study the game like a textbook to min-max. if they do another balance pass id rather see dead talents reworked first, though, like half of bounty hunter’s options :stuck_out_tongue:

I think healshare shouldn’t be a talent pick. It should replace Hand of Shallya, which only heals you a little bit if you heal a teammate with a medkit. That’s just too situational (depends on you getting the medkit) and only helps you and one teammate; I never use it and don’t know anyone else who does.

So:

  • make Hand of Shallya be healshare with everyone
  • add another THP choice for all characters

I use it on MercKruber since he already generates insane amounts of THP on demand for everyone close by, it’s handy to have a “everyone gathers up to clear grey screens with a single heal” option
