Revolver is strong but with the reload and ammo reserve …. Hive can make it great again
Heavy sword is a horde killer. Shame cause I loved it. I am always surprised how this weapon can perform… I am always surprised to kill crushers with it… and still it works (ok with the right setup).

Revolver in auric and more is still a pain with all the reload.
Sure in damnation this is pretty strong in Maël and more this is toy you just can’t use it in a serious way

well personally I think giving them back some of their presence is a good thing, the problem lies with the still borked spawn rate and clown cars of old in auric maelstrom upwards.
mainly playing ogryn so there’s a couple suitable carapace can openers, that work in tandem with either melee for flak maniac and ranged for carapace unyielding or vice versa ![]()
This decision put almost 60% of weapons out for me no wasn’t the solution. But I can understand your point.

Except few weapons (stub autopisol by example) all are good enough to be used. Several are OP, several are underpowered clearly.
But you should always cover all threats. And to do it, you usually pick your weapons to cover all threats, so carapace included (and maniacs also).
So, a boltgun with a devil’s claw → good
a devils’claw with a stub autopistol → must be a joke

I got overhead from mauler, who did 90 degree turn turn around the corner, basically L turn.
This is why this game isn’t raising. It everybody have to deal with everything. Normally you have to invest in a role and all the member of the party too this is exactly why this game don’t raise. You have to do a lil of all thing thinking your mates will sucks.
When I see an Ogryn with some frame who’s need 100h to attain but they got all curios with +1 wounds and he was really m dying every time minutes… how the f**l can we balance this game ? When In the same time you got a team with 10’000 hours of play cumulated
I mean in the “old days” when damnation was all we got, having one or two of em pop up was an encounter worth noticing and acting accordingly.

and while I enjoy the fast paced action of today, having followed my learning curve over 3+ years now, current boss spawns in the atonement event of all sorts remind me of that feeling again.
(nope I don’t count havoc and it’s number/color shenanigans cause I prefer to not be dependent on the class/talents of others to such degree)
as part of a premade with people you “like”, sure I can see the appeal in that.
but randoms to a large percentage are just too unreliable to the point of dragging down a match, so at the end of the day you kinda have to do the jobs yourself.
and boy oh boy did I have a wild assortment of randos in my event matches today.
from good carries&clutches to something even atlas couldn’t lift and in the end an arbi that was actively throwing the match by refusing to heal and run head long into every encounter, stirring up half the map in the process.
one can’t carry proper if the very mates keep pushing attrition
In Havoc this is clearly what players do in pre made.
In random, you cannot bet that the others will be enough skilled to replace you, or that they will specialize in killing carapace because you took nothing to deal with it. If you do, you play heads or tails.
You could face the surprise that everybody has think like you and none has something to deal with this crusher, this dreg ragers wave, this monstrosity etc.
Unless you play with premade, something I don’t do(or few times), you have to cover all threats.

No. A sniper don’t wipe a team. He can kill one because someone dodged at the right moment and the sniper can kill the teammate close to him instead of the dodger (it happens), but no… a sniper cannot kill 4 players. Or they lack clearly skill or are surrounded and were promised to the death.
