@FatsharkLev Are there any updates to share? ![]()
@Archnium unfortunately no news to share just yet, but I’ve included this thread in a more recent entry in our database and will continue to chase!
Just to extend a bit on the things I’ve tried to mitigate the issue:
PC Specs when I first got the issue (around the rotten armor live event) 3080, amd 3950x that I upgraded to a 5800x3d, 32gb ddr4, asus crosshair hero viii mobo, Samsung gen 3 nvme ssd. Windows 10 home.
Current PC specs are MSI 5080 Suprim (16gb), 9800x3d, 64gb ddr5, X870 Auros Elite Mobo, SK Hynix P51 gen 5 nvme ssd. Windows 11 home.
I play at 1440p via HDMI 2.1 connection.
I’ve tried switching between different clean installs of my gpu drivers ranging from the 570s to the current 610.44.
I’ve tried different DLSS preset letters. Different custom scaling values as well.
I’ve gone through a couple different bios versions.
Clean installed the game (deleting all leftover data from Appdata and steam folders) on the same nvme drive as well as on a regular ssd.
I have tried the experimental branch of the game.
I’ve used Vizras guide to tweak the settings_common.ini file. I’ve gone through and tried different combinations on most of the values in there.
I’ve tried to disable the mesh streamer in the same file.
I’ve tried running the game windowed vs fullscreen. Multiple different combinations of in game settings. As well as Worker threads. I’ve even used Process Lasso to make the game only run on my physical cores.
I’ve tried disabled HAGS and Windows Game Mode as well as ReBar.
I’ve tried adding lines into the user_settings.config.
I’ve tried running the game without mods. Installed the mod lodbgone.
I’ve upgraded the games .dlls for Nvidia as well as AMD in the binaries folder.
As of right now I have all the files set back to their defaults on a fresh install of Darktide. I play modded because it doesn’t seem to make a difference either way.
I have render portraits turned off. Textures to medium. This helps the textures to eventually load a bit faster. Sometimes they’ll still get caught in their distant LoD state.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that the issue doesn’t appear present as long as you don’t use any upscaling, dlss or FSR, or any kind of AntiAliasing. But obviously it’s not really an option to run the game like that.
Hopefully this can be helpful for your database!
Say was there any software that could possibly interfere with the DLSS? Like Nvidia app for example?
No Nvidia APP, fresh install with the default DLSS 3.5 in the launcher folder and the default DLSS 310.2.1 in the binaries folder with no interference from any third party app whatsoever permanently solved my stuttering issues.
So i wonder…
