Talent Tree Hot Swapping

Could we please get hot swapping of mutually exclusionary talent nodes, as a QoL thing? Like grenades, ults, or whatever these talent node categories are called in-game.

It’s a bit of a drag having to rebuy your entire talent tree past the swap point, especially if the swap point is lower on the tree, if for example all you want to do is try a different type of grenade with your build.

Would be easy for them to implement. It’s already a mod.

I assume you know about loadout slots? You can change the tree in those and swap between them.

be nice to new players. the game doesnt show you that and the UI does not look clickable theres no way to know without having seen it before

You do know the plus icon flashes at you right?

no i did not, and after 7 classes levelled to 30 and 2k hours of play that should show you how unintuitive the UI is.

so my point still stands dont insult new players

Im already using my loadouts for different builds. I dont want to make the same build on a different loadout for the sake of swapping my grenade. I want to use my loadout slots for different loadouts!

Loadout slots are literally not a solution to this issue.

Fair enough. I have different builds saved to each loadout and some of them have different talent trees.

I think we need many more slots. That would solve the issue.

besides assuming someone who didnt know a basic mechanic existed is new is a fair assumption i really dont understand what your issue is

I didn’t know what the stimms do until the penances for them came out lol. Was over 1k hours by then :laughing:

easy one heals you and the rest attract mutants to your location as soon as you pop one

While I agree more slots would be nice :+1:, what would actually solve the issue is being able to hotswap these pinch nodes on the tree.

I always understood the health one but the others were a total mystery until the penances. Nothing is explained in this game. The effects of them all seem pathetically lacklustre anyway lol. The damage one last about 3 swings. What’s the point! Considering it takes 5 seconds to equip it and stare at it before using it…why doesn’t the button just instantly administer it?? I know there is a mod for that but I don’t use mods. Sorry, rant over lol.

Long time players forget how totally hidden almost all mechanics are in this game to newcomers. Hopefully the new narrative progression introduces steps to alleviate this.

A beastiary and index would be magical too if they could finally get the intern to compile all the info.

Yeah but then wouldn’t it just be a secondary loadout swap inside of an existing loadout swap? (If described as the op wanted?).

I’m sure it would still be a good feature anyway but the easiest thing for FS to do is simply give us 20 loadout slots then you could have loads of different builds with different tallent trees at the click of a button.


theyre pretty good if taken exactly when stuff’s about to go down but i think their animations are a bit long and their duration is still too low for the speed and power ones

Health and the ability regen ones are the ones I find most useful. Even as Ogryn I find the damage one absolutely pathetic. Just doesn’t seem to do anything. I save it for mosntrosites etc but I noticed no difference whatsoever.
