Suggestion for Agripinaa MK IX Headhunter

Probably one if not the worst ranged weapon in the game right now ! It is not good as the Vraks MK III for crowd control and trashkill and also not good as the Vraks MK VII as a “beggar’s sniper rifle” with a good fire rate and a slightly better accurancy than the Hellbore without aiming. It sit between 2 purposes and fail miserably in both.

So here is my suggestion : remove the special “bash” attack and that unstable 2 bullets burst-fire and add a special “fire selector” instead which permit the weapon to shoot a burst fire of 3 bullets who have a slower fire rate but hit a bit harder than the Vraks MK III or select the single shot who does less headshot damage than the Vraks Mk VII but can be helpful when needed against long range foe such as a Sniper. That way, the Agripinaa MK IX will have his own identity without overshadowing the 2 others variants and maybe have easier access to breakpoint for some type of enemies.

if anything, a single-shot variety should hit harder, especially on weakpoints, but I like the idea of a burst fire selector for the special action.

I feel like giving it a single shot makes it tread the same ground as the MK 7. The main problem is there isn’t really a lot of balance space between the 7 and the 3.

I would argue for increasing the 7’s damage and slowing down the fire rate and make it into what I think most people want it to be which is a real punchy sniper rifle. Give it a bit of penetration as well to set it apart from what will be the new 9.

Then we can adjust the 9 a bit better to bridge the gap between the 3’s high dps fire rate letting the 9 fit more comfortably with better accuracy and headshot damage at distance at the cost of some fire rate and overall DPS compared to the 3. Biggest change I think is to bring the shots together more, it should feel like a quick double tap so it doesn’t feel so sluggish as it does now.
