Issue Description:
The sound keeps stuttering in and out. I play with a wireless headset but i have no problem with the sound in other games. When i disconnect the headset and run audio through my speakers the sound is just fine?
Had this too, didn’t help plugging in and out though. A question for you though, does it affect EVERYTHING on windows like music, discord etc? Cause it does for me and it’s literal hell to play with sound on.
To clarify, this was never an issue before today’s patch.
I have the same problem as you do where it effects ALL system sound while the game is running. This began happening at the very end of beta on the last day. Before that I never had this issue with a couple level 30 characters, so not small time. Something changed on the last day to cause this with some systems apparently.
Notes, I’m using wired headphones. Nothing is wireless. I have an audio interface, a motu m4. The sound continuously cuts out over and over, killing all system sound in the process for maybe a quarter second each time.
Further testing
I fixed my issue by disconnecting from my audio interface and connecting directly to a 3.5mm jack on the motherboard. Using an an audio device seems to cause this issue. Also, if you use voicemeeter regardless of connection type, it seems to also cause this issue. So be aware if you use voicemeeter. The only way the audio works for me is using the 3.5mm jack versus the 1/4inch adapter i use to plug into motu m4.
Same issue on my end.
Main Menu and Hub Audio seems fine but when entering cutscenes or missions the audio starts stuttering, the game itself runs fine though.
The audiostutters affect all system audio that might be running in parallel.
Audio in the Main Menu and initial loading screen is alright, but upon loading into the games lobby I will hear a split second of audio before all audio for my entire pc will begin stuttering in and out. After troubleshooting, i ruled out my own audio drivers, my sound card, and file integrity issues.
Even completely clean installed the game and it still does the same thing. It’s been happening since the small patch just prior to launch maintenance.
It does not effect these things luckly for me. I have had this as an issue during the beta and thought it was going to be fixed by launch but its sadly still there.
