Stuck connecting to Twitch

Issue Description:
Unable to connect to any Twitch Stream, inputting a live twitch stream shows the connecting message, which remains there until I close the game.

Error Displayed :
Looking in the console log I can see the following messages always appear.
09:48:30.740 [IRC Client] Could not connect to irc.chat.twitch.tv:6667
09:48:30.752 [Lua] [IrcManager:cb_connect_token_received] Result: false

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch Game
  2. Input live stream name into Twitch textbox
  3. Stuck at connecting

Is this still an issue that is occurring for you?

If so, does the issue persist after restarting your PC and router?

Yeah, the same thing happens today after restarting both PC and router. 2 of my friends that I asked to try it also experience the exact same behavior.

Hi @MoriHiroshi,

Can you try temporarily hooking your PC up to a mobile data connection and see if you can then connect to Twitch? This can help in isolating the issue.

I can connect to Twitch on mobile data. Also tested with a free VPN (Tunnelbear) and was able to connect.

Thanks for checking! This isolates the issue to your network. Regrettably, in this situation there isn’t anything further we are able to do. I recommend contacting your ISP and explaining the situation, as they will be better suited to assist.
