So, i’ve seen a lot of videos of helldivers 2 and i had an idea about the darktide strategium.
The actual mission selection in darktide is boring and doesn’t add anything to the game, however it has a lot of potential.
I think if fatshark changes the strategium (mission selection system) so that it is divided in the different game zones (throneside, metalfab, hourglass etc.) and then copies the helldivers approach, every x amount of time fatshark decides which zone is high priority, and if the community manages to free/conquer/whatever the zone then we get rewards, just like helldivers.
I think something like this would improve the game a lot and it would give us the feeling of actually doing something in the context of the game, just like helldivers players feel.
Hd2 it work cause they use procedurally generated maps, here it doesn’t work that way (Having static/man-made missions).
So it would be kinda meaningless
While I think it would be kinda neat if certain regions of the hive and hence certain maps were locked out on a rotational basis, I don’t think Fatshark has the capacity to handle such a rotation, let alone add enough maps and missions to make it viable to have a good mixture of stuff at any given time. They can barely handle putting out minor cosmetics tweaks every couple weeks to disguise shop rotations.
Cosmetics are outsourced…
Yeah but the fixes to them aren’t, presumably. And that’s apparently the sum total of weeks of work for Fatshark.
I’ll add this to the Mourningstar Memorial… but I really don’t think that Fatshark will deliver.
I’d settle for general ACCESS to the Strategium with maybe some lore and situational reports surrounding the different missions!
Fatshark could update the lore and situational reports with every major update or something.
