Hi there,
I noticed early on and it keeps bugging me, that some curios, although having the same blessing amount of stats, the derived item level can be wiledely different. Like in this example, where each have +19% HP, but are 4 (!) levels different in itemlevel. I’m not sure here, but i think that itemlevel does influence the the quality of items we are being offered in the shops, so it’s not meaningless, right?
Could you please straighten this out, please?
The rank of the blessing is where its base modifier score is. Just like weapons 80 is the max. But there are thersholds that fall along this scale, like you’ve noticed. HP can even roll 21%, which is an obvious rounding error (if 25 HP is the blessing at 100 power, 80% would be 20% not 21%).
Stamina can roll +3 from 68-80 score, because the threshold of +3 is at 68%.
I’m wondering… will we ever have access to 100% strength of curios and weapons? It’s been bugging me for some time. If not - why cap at 80%, why not make max value at whatever 80% right now is?
I could understand this when we were playing beta, but it should have been changed with 1st weapon patch.
Maybe when they introduce “legendary” (red) weapons/curios later, they will have 100%. In V2, orange items could by chance be as good as red items, but maybe FS plans to have red items be uniquely better. But that’s just me guessing
Thanks for the explanation. But I still think they should change it to be specific rank numbers representing specific values. Makes comparison much easier and also allows to guess what the maximum possible value is
Red ficks up human webway, is second only to gold in terms of power and suffers from temper tantrums. Gold unifies humanity, is glorious and only sometimes ends up on over glorified golden crapper for 10 000 Years.
Introducing Red as highest weapon tier messes up with “natural” color progression. Green (as a novice), blue, add some red to blue and get purple, then add enough to make it actually Red (Crimson) and finally Gold which stands out from all of them.
Brotip: Pick always the one with the higher base level, it has better chances to roll good Perks.
And Curios below a certain threshold cannot even score Tier 4 Perks.
My bets are on VT:End Times style reds.
Maxed out base stats, optionally a fancy skin, some random Blessing combination a hangover moose came up with that cant be changed.
Yeah, that’s what I’m expecting too, but don’t like the idea.
I dont like it either.
Its not that far fetched. The DT item system right now is alot like the VT: End Times one, just bloated and mutated in to worst ways possible. Well. Maybe not the worst, but we are really close.
