Installation
Hi, I played two days ago. Now I wanted to play again, but steam says I have to install the game again. I did not delete the game or unistalled it. What has happened, that I have to install again?
Does Steam give you the option to verify game files, in case that may resolve it?
Additionally, if you have multiple HDDs/SSDs, is the drive where the game is installed accessible in File Explorer? I encountered an issue previously where my drive was not being recognised (so Darktide _appeared_to be uninstalled); I doubt this would be the problem, but no harm in checking.
No, I can´t varify, or even locate the files. It is as if the game has completely vanished from my disc drive. How can this be? There was no crash, no disconnect, no nothing. I can of course install it again, but what about all my characters and stuff? Will it be there, or do I have to do everything all over again?
Everything other than your keybindings and custom options is saved on our end, so please rest assured you will not have lost your operatives or any other progress.
Thank you, I had hoped, that Steam would recognize an existing isntallation, but as I already wrote the games has completely vanished and I have to install again. What about all my stuff? Is it lost and do I have to start over, or is it saved?
