I would love to see a special condition where the basic hordes just keep spawning. No specialists, just endless fodder.
If that could be combined with lights out and heavy fog that would be even better.

Or horde mode as unique mission.
Just stick it to some even like halloween or something like that to test it out. There are plenty of places on regular maps that can be used for it.
Relatively cheap and refreshing activity.
Without specialists that would be super easy to beat.
Just pick an anti-horde weapon and LMB all the way to exit 
played few hours before the patch 13 goes live. the director decided to spam horde at our team. at first it seem like an easy task but the horde never end. its like world war z. then the special come and we were wiped out.
This used to be sort of in the game. The old Hi-Intensity was called Endless Hordes and did exactly this. Longer lasting Hordes spawning more often with specials mixed in.
The Hourglass map on Heresy was bugged for the longest time to still have this condition permanently enabled.
It’s definitely in the realms of possibility.
