So they nerfed Power swords.

Tested. So I charge up, swing through enemies and when i hit an elite+ the weapon continues but the charge ends. I stop doing the bonus charge up dmg and just do my normal swing dmg.
It is in the notes under cleave.

Why would they do that to specials? Isn’t the ENTIRE point of a chainsword that it will tear through a group? I don’t understand their decision making, its so frustrating to see this crap.

Spaghetti code on top of spaghetti design. I swear they don’t have any project managers who can stay on top of things and at least consider the possible interactions outside of the tunnel-visioned specific change they are working on.

Actually, it could just “stop” on elites without all the extra nerfs, without making it tedious to use even against hordes.

project managers are for making sure excel spreadsheets with hour spent are sent and thar green circle on power point is set, they dont do design, they just say all is green all the time

produxt managers (designers) and subject matter experts are the people that make the product specifications where they describe the intended product, implementation, consequenses, reasoning behind it, arguments and counter arguments, what is in scope and out of scope

having said all of that, i also doubt FS has any of them

why do i think so? any guideline to optimization, balancing and tunning always mentiones to change 1, maybe 2 parameters, never more because then you cannot understand what contributed to outcomes. looking at the nerfs they are 4…5 parameters changed per PS or flamer… thats just crazy :stuck_out_tongue:

i bet next patch will be buffs to compensate over nerfs

Ammo is, in my opinion, an important value for shotguns.
It defines how much ammo you will have and also the amount of ammo you can load in the gun.

Probably should wait until the player base recovers to at least 10k before nerfing the most played class’s best weapon. Psyker main here and I have seen nothing but negative feedback from vets and zealots in damnation lobbies about this patch.

Unless you play any of the soulfire builds.

Purg itself (main soul blaze build) is perfectly fine honestly. It’s all the builds that tried to use soul blaze without Purg that are struggling now.

Not being able to delete shotgunner teams (including the elites) with 6 charge ult feels pretty bad. It was the best part of running AB and made it very enjoyable even when purg didn’t stack siphon properly. Although the build is totally fine.

Yeah my point was that Purg itself is fine. It’s soul blaze feats that are much worse off, though AB is the least worse off just by virtue of being the strongest soul blaze feat to begin with.

Truth just tried out the soulblaze build on damnation and its noticeably slower. Not to mention you pretty much have to take warp battery to get ascendant blaze to do anything now which screws over wildfire and kinetic flayer. This change was a step in the wrong direction again shame after we had such a good update previously.
