So is a new subclass coming or not?

No idea, tbh Pyromancer is not really something that interest me that much (Though there are a few abilities that are interesting and would fit more as a Blitz or an ability)

Not really, it’s just a small aspect.

The Telekine i propose is full blown telekinetic, manipulating object and enemies, (throw barrels?)special weapons like the Telekine in the Ravenor series had for example a multitude of daggers that flied around her and she manipulated for attack and defence etc

And I hope they scrap the concept and keep the cosmetics.

It would be a meh class at best.

Why so ? A Support Veteran with Krak grenade can be interesting ?

Such a Blitz has been datamined too, but still, the Psykinetic is a Telekinesis Discipline Psyker.

The team I play with are convinced that this is the case. We’ll see a 5th class although we expect it’ll be a paid dlc. Recently we did discover a unique character model on the morning star behind the psykhanium. A servitor with bionic arms, one of those arms being shears/cutting tool, so you never know. Am still leaning toward a rattling that’ll use the vermintides smoke grenade, 30 second invisibility feat cause FatShark are lazy like that.

This dude ?

Cause haven’t heard about such a thing, and a Servitor would be very lame idea for new archetype (which we know isn’t something they have currently planned)

No not that guy. Go to the psykhanium then travel around the back and theres a little bald servitor with bionic arms.

I’m almost certain one of the upcoming classes is gonna be adeptus mechanicus. Skitarii would be cool but people argue that they’re too hive-minded and drone-like to make sense as a reject.
It’s been said that a ratling wouldn’t work because of the cover system, they would be too small to be able to see over anything, we’ll see :joy:

For an archetype, hopefully, but it isn’t/wasn’t in their initial plans as far as we know, they aren’t against it but it’s not in their primary plans to add archetypes.

Shoudln’t be a Skitarii anyway, should be something more vague, like Tech Adept, or Tech Cultist, leaving the classes end up Skitarii and other things from the Admech

They should replace the bots with gunservitors so they’d have a reason to be such hot garbage.

I’m inclined to disagree to some extent on these two classes. But I think we agree on the main thrust of the point which is its not enough to have new ways to play the same thing, this game needs more flavors of 40K in it.

Comissars cosmetic vet leader class is one such flavor. Comissars are 40K as 40K gets and I hope it will be something of a melee focused and support veteran class so I can desire to play it as much as I play my zealot.

Gunlugger will be cool mostly because of the possible guns it could add to the game. Heavy bolter? Autocannon? Plasma Cannon? I thirst to see these in an FPS. Plus all the stubbergryns who never melee will finally be useful.

Can’t find him, can you post a screenshot ?

Must be talking about this lad.

Oh ok, I went inside the Psykanum thingy, not the room itself.

Like it’s just an Npc, doesn’t mean anything

Also only official additional Archetype talk from way back:

So possible, but not something that will come any time soon

As was once smartly pointed out to me: a class can be very distinct. Look at careers in Vermintide. Saltzpyre has Warrior Priest, Zealot, Bounty Hunter and Witch Hunter. The first i listed is a tanky fighter with heavy weapons, no ranged weapon at all and a magic bubble shield. The last is a finesse fighter with ranged weapons and support abilities.

The Death Cult Assassin could just be basically Kerillian Shade for Zealot archetype and it would be just fine from a lore and style and gameplay variety perspective.

True its just an NPC and doesn’t have the same hints that the rattling has but never underestimate the lameness of FatShark. Its an existing model that is currently unique in appearance.

Or put it this way, how difficult would it be for FS to make an existing model a playable character that wouldn’t need voice actors and did the same digital voice responses used in Warhammer 40k Mechanicus.

Not everything is supposed to be a hint, even the Ratling voice lines aren’t telling that a Ratling class is gonna happen.

Why has FS shown that they do that sort of lameness ? Like FS’s strength is in map design, melee combat and enemy impact, and characterisation, I don’t think an archetype that work without any voice actors would feel alright.

Plus Servitors have basically no potential in term of weapons and classes

You mean the 2 maps I’m playing over and over again? Or are there more? I can’t tell, everything looks the same. We have sand and dark indoor stuff.

Maybe they’ll surprise us with a new class in this mega super update this month, I doubt it but it wouldn’t hurt. Probably one new dark indoor stuff map and some marks of already existing weapons.

Obviously, it isn’t. I have used my special eyeballs to confirm this. You can trust their judgement.

So, one could say everything is going according to plan. Whoever made this plan should be crucified though.

The majority of Skitarri we see in actively are from the big forgeworlds, who can afford all the fancy cybernetics etc. The official Mechanicus designation for a Skitarri soldier is a person fighting under Ad Mech control, and for their legs below the knee to be cybernetic (In respect to the first colonizers of Mars, who all lost their lower legs exploring the dunes). Additionally some skitarri in service of the big Forge Worlds do keep some of their personalities. Specifically this is mentioned in Skitarri Alphas and Skitarri Marshals, who are capable of operating independently of any Magos. There are even cases of the basic soldiers showing signs of their old personalities, known as “Ghosts in the Machine.”

However despite all that, I think a condemned Tech Priest would be a better fit than a Skitarri. Like someone from the (amazing) Mechanicus game. There are so many more cool weappn options, they could have a more interesting character, and would be a better fit overall than a skitarri, who I feel would end up feeling like Vet 2.0. Still could include Skitarri weapons and cosmetics, just have more options available.
