I just noticed I got Atoman Auxilia (4) recently, but Atoman Auxilia (5) is nowhere to be found.
Also all penances I got done are greyed out.
So whats the deal with that all?
Update: It actually gets a bit stranger.
I suspect there is no Atoman Auxilia (5).
I unlocked the frame you are supposed to get at (5) with (4).
So either the description is broken or the penances.
However, it’s still all a bit wonky.
Would be nice to get an inside, if there is something going on here.

Depends on the penance.
I know that any and all item / talent related penances (Do X with grenade type Y, Do X that requires talent Z) break, if you use the upgraded version.
For instance, ammo replenishment penance as a Veteran cannot be completed with the upgraded Survival Aura.
Which is… utterly ridiculous, since you HAVE to upgrade those, and with the penances being what they are, a lot of people are not going to be able to finish them at the required difficulty levels with no access to most of the skill tree. This was an easily foreseeable problem that Fatshark just… didn’t think of fixing for some reason.
