While i enjoyed the twins (alright i tried to type this sentence out three times and it still sounds like an innuendo), the map did not really have to much replayability after beating it on hardmode, at least not for me personally.
I would just prefer a normal map on a different tile set.
having hardmode as a goal to work towards is great but once i got it i couldn´t be arsed to do it again often for buddies that missed out, it then felt rather tedious.
main reason for it is skipping the larger part of the map just doing the boss fight over and over.
if it would have been a tighter but more consistent occupation it´d not have felt that repetitive that fast i´d wager.
** We are still working on the itemization part of the update as mentioned in the Vision Statement. We are currently in testing and we are working on a dev blog to share with everyone.
I think from the experiences i had with Paradox interactive, it’s really important to start sharing your design with the players ASAP. Because if you invest 6 Months in a system and only realizes on release that your player base hates it you wasted precious time. So to start sharing your ideas and plans transparent and early can help to prevent that.
Here I was playing, considering what I saw yesterday in the frames of skulls, and I realized that I was playing on a psychic through the BB (yes, throw stones, but I wanted to play on a useless piece of a piece)
I started thinking about how to improve the BB to make it comfortable and not unbalanced, and then I remember how many good ideas and suggestions for the game in general lie on the forum as a dead weight and realized - proposing anything is useless, from the outside I don’t see any progress in implementing ideas from the forum. The only recent update was bringing back the Krieger outfits, do you understand? They brought back the donations that everyone loves… I have so many ideas for the game, as do others, the ideas are good - take them and try, but after such presentations, the desire to give anything to the Sharks for potential implementation completely disappears.
Why bother trying to improve and make the game comfortable for everyone when those who can do it don’t react at all and only show up at the moment of publishing their patch, responding with laughter to memes (only the ones that suit them). I understand that the CMs get all the blame, etc., and the PR department - the news about the Sharks participating in the skulls event from them appeared before the event, marketing geniuses.
I love this game, but lately I find myself more and more often thinking that I am willing to do anything just to avoid logging into it and not seeing news about it, because I am disappointed every time. I think you (not the Sharks) understand me. =\
This is what I’m wondering as well. Sounds to me like a third type of crafting material being introduced. Just speculation of course, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
People will riot if that’s the case. Replacing the horrible grind system with a new thing that needs to be ground for will be the last straw for a lot of people.
We don’t know how the updated system will function of course, but my feeling is the Moebian steel bit is just flavor/thematic, like how Karl/Sefoni’s updated Personality Scourge system was tied to the Ascension Riser material collection mission.
this might age like fine milk, but i rather hear/read it in connection to the overall character chatter with tanks being manufactured in the background and how they can´t afford to lose a production site, lest war-relevant items get in short supply.
i´m not versed in the lore yet as to guess what weapons/vehicles would receive a boost from being made out of such steel, but i hope thats the way it´s refered to.
They said the removed ‘a lot of’ the RNG heavy grind, and let us ‘work towards’ specific blessings, stat increases. It sounds like it’s just a different grind, and no removal of locks was mentioned.
Until they show us, we won’t know. I believe it’s currently being playtested by their speshully invited speshul influencers. Who knows what feedback those people are giving on it.
The only thing for certain is that they’re not interested in anyone else’s feedback on it, or we would have had that dev blog outlining it already.
I hoped it meant red weapons „made from moebian steel“
I totally see my Kriegsman entering Hadrons facilities:
Hadron: “We finally have access to moebian steel! It’s lighter then common steel and nearly unbreakable - and the blades hold a supreme edge! Gun barrels made from live forever and allow for maximal precision!”
Kriegsman: “Cool - can you forge an entrenchment tool from it?”
Hadron: “What? Theoreitcally yes but… I could also forge a blade so strong and well balanced it befitted an astartes chapter master!”
Kriegsman: “yeah… Make the Shovel foldable please - that’d be neat! Bye!”
Unsure how much you want to read into things like this. All this does is making me wish we had gotten more information, when the vermintide part from the skulls stream started showing I hoped that Fatshark would do an equally good job at presenting the coming update for Darktide.
Moebian Steel has been talked about in the narrative for awhile and is in part why Tertium is important. I didn’t assume it meant anything about the crafting system, more just a narrative point.
And a mission about re activating an old forge fits perfectly with a crafting update.
This has me curious what out of the weapons listed is going to the psyker. Bolt pistol seems unlikely. A psyker with a shock maul sounds…fun and terrifying. Pickaxe? Or are psykers fineally getting a shotgun?
