We just want to help you out. Please stay more calm and polite.
Try this one with curse resist instead of Stamina recovery on trinket for legend. So you have more maximum Health with grims.

Yes i noticed.
The polite part i did trust me.It s pretty hard to reamain calm with your kind.
Houssa.
Thanks kind sir you go to Heaven.
I dont think you are new by the way, but it is better to go also into simple and Maybe obvious details when writing in a forum.
Now back to your thp problem. In my point of view 2H sword doesnt perform well with thp on kill in a quickplay simply because the range careers like BH, Huntsman or some fast frontliners like GK and slayer will take out those elites which would give you a junk of THP before you can. Furthermore on legend are elites only as ambience and they do not spawn in hordes. That means as soon as the ambience is taken out you are left with only trash mobs, which provide poor thp and even there you have to compete with the other players for those trashmob kills.
On cata it may be easier as well because tthere elites will spawn with hordes.
Maybe this is your key issue. Thats why i recommended the dual Sword build with thp on crit.
Hope this was now more helpful for you.
I completely agree with you; having 2 grims and a random team in Legend can actually be harder than Cata. Thatās been my experience lately as well.
The chocoB run with the linked build is amazing! But itās important to note that itās a Deathwish solo, and not something that the average player can achieve easily. On Deathwish, enemies are much tougher with increased resistance to cleaving/stagger and higher health compared to Cata, among other challenges.
However, playing with a team that has Curse Resistance and shares temp health can definitely make a difference. Personally, I find watching ChocoB gives me some great ideas for builds that I can adapt from his solo playstyles to playing with a team. Itās inspiring to see skilled players in action and learn from their strategies to improve my own gameplay.
I understand what you mean, and I donāt mean to presume any lack of knowledge. Iāve encountered players on Legend difficulty or below who think theyāre experts and try to dictate how others should play. Iāve even been removed from a lobby once for not going with what they considered an āoff-metaā mercenary build in Legend (It wasnāt really that off-meta). With over 2000 hours of playtime, that kind of thing bugs me. Iāve learned to expect such presumptuous behavior, but I donāt mean to be like that.
But in this game, there are always areas where we can improve, no matter how many hours weāve played. For example, I had to adapt my playstyle and start using THP on kill talents after struggling with it for a while. Maybe I donāt fully understand the issues you have with SotT specifically, as many other careers also have the same options for THP and Iād say many are worse at it than SotT.
@Ensrick ChocoB is playing deathwish legend by the way
Which means health and damage dealt by the enemies are like legend. Deathwish only increases stagger resistence and increases globadier poison. Neverless its still a nice solo run.
@Lou And of course you can play what you want, as long as it works and you have fun.
Oh, I thought that one was Cata, still Iāve adapted that build and used it yesterday with no issues for THP in Cata and Legend with randos.
Thats true i have 4400 hours in this game and i still try to improve myself. Noone is playing perfect and you can always improve
Wait, you consider this playing style/skill level to be godly?
From my perspective the guy seems almost bored to heck with all the posing and occasional flexing, i thought it was just a trial run to show what a post rework SoT build might look like. It had very few enemies overall compared to cata and not many disabler specials which nearly made it a snooze, the only pressure came from how stagger&cleave resistant modded enemies are which dials horde threat levels up a bit butā¦not really all that much in legend where elites can still die to a single heavy attack more often than not.
If this is the standard for godly i gotta ask, you ever watched the guys playing modded cata like core or velsix? Now those vids got standards for skill. Like soloing chaos patrols with enemy disablers spawning. Or heck, just regular cata soloing pre nerf/bugfixes convocation is good enough to impress.
I appreciate your perspective, and I agree that ChocoBās gameplay is beyond what you can expect from most players, but itās important to acknowledge and give credit to players who go above and beyond in their gameplay. As you rightly pointed out, I chose this video because itās not overly extravagant, but rather a good demonstration of how well SotT works post-rework for players who may have a hard time after the rework.
While ChocoBās run may not be considered āgodlyā in comparison to other high-level players who take on more challenging mods or solo cataclysm runs with additional difficulties like chaos patrols and disablers, it is still impressive. There are definitely other players, such as Core or Velsix, who push the limits of skill in Vermintide 2 even further, as you mentioned.
ā¦Is this level of gameplay really so impressive? Really i gotta state it again but, to me it honestly looks normal for the most part and the player even moves like heĀ“s bored or just flexing at times. Hinting that he wasnt feeling any pressure really given the hostile lineups.
On further checking, no wonder, he also does modded cata soloĀ“s.
But really, i cant find whatĀ“s so crazy about what he did in the above video, its just normal dodging, pushing and attack weaving for the most part, even excessive dodging and push-attacking at times.
In hindsight it might well be that my perspective is kinda off butā¦at the same time i have played this game on cata for a long time plus games like sekiro or monster hunter and i just find such stuff to be normal at this point.
There is just no way with the current passive that sister can have a different thp talents. If you have something like a merc in the party then you practically have infinite thp generation. With something like that being possiblity it would be insane to give her even better thp talent options.
Still she has enough crit based weapons and even a talent to quarantee crits if you really feel like you need that extra temp.
I personally never have had issues with her thp after the rework, and like frosty I still think it can honestly be kind of busted in certain scenarios.
Iād say its a perspective issue. Anyone who has been spamming cata+ content would find something like that to be really basic. Then for someone coming from lower difficulties it looks insane how many attacks someone can avoid with such a āsimpleā movement.
Or guys with shields, or zealot, or unchained with thp ult.
Yes it is a perspective issue.
You cant compare cataclysm gameplay to a legend bookrun with random people with her.
What you think to be really basic stuff do not apply specificly to her and especialy in this comparaison.
Having the pressure of the grims ( i simply do means the grim effect by iteself, in case you jedis thought it meant some psychological pressure leading to misplay ) on your hp pool with a team that do not directly support your thp generation is uncomparable to a teamplay in cataclysm.
Read above.
Also assume that while there are people just entering legend difficuly there are also experienced players who runs it for the loot who are aware of positioning, dodging and so on and are perfectly cataclysm competent.
Is a Sott just fine in a premade set up team that garanty high temp hp generation : Yes.
Did i say the opposite : No.
Yes in some situations it shines ; in some others it is inexistant. It is.
Have won the large majority of my runs (legend 2 grim) with her and still i felt the need of posting this feedback.
Did i get temp hp explosions: Yes .
Did i get situations where i just cannot give a fight that any other class could have : Yes . (spare me with the āāhow to avoid those situationsāā Max, thanks ).
Please read posts above yours. So much evidences being thrown itās staggering.
Rememeber we arent talking about an ironbreaker with zealot temphp capacity but quote āāa squishy mage support depending on others to heal herselfāā even though its not how i consider her myself.
Allowing her to have more reliable self thp capacity would make her really, really (really) strong in some scenarios, yes, but also more viable and versatile and allow more diversity of builds.
Who called her that? I called her a squishy mage but nothing else, nor can i find anyone who did. And on the topic of evidence, the video proves well enough that she does not need help to sustain her THP at all. The poster was running modded legend while flexing and trolling himself for fun.
The problem here is that i, and others, find that she is already borderline if not outright very powerful even now, there is no room for buffs without letting her push the ātoo strongā line again. Build diversity at the expense of power creep beyond the āalready strongā point is a bad deal.
I wouldnt say that.
She is a good supporter. Thats it.
Play her with staff and supporter talents.
āPermaā Hunter with guaranteed crits is a funny
gimmick but in terms of damage the elf has three other options and at least two of them are much better.
Staff is indeed more āsupportiveā rather than damage heavyā¦but run javelins or moonfire along with dual swords/greatsword/spear and youĀ“ll find yourself eating through most targets at exceptional speeds. Even for Keri.
I mean, do be mindful of the fact that she still has on demand crits + 24% bonus damage on any target that survives two hits or eats a bramble cast. I found myself tearing through cata hordes with her with ease. My biggest gripe was instead the fact that i do not like her ability very much, none of the 3 lvl 30 options. Two of them are strong when used right and do have an impact but ā¦well not quite done for my liking.
Me not liking her does not mean i didnt find her powerful though, she was undeniably still so.
Oh boohoo I canāt be ultra awesome in every single situation. Fact is the thp regen is adequete, you got talents that make it easier for you to get more thp like quaranteed crits, and with team ā¦ you know that thing you have in every 4 coop mission run right? You are practically running infinite thp if you have even 1 person with you who knows what heās doing.
If you want to argue for the sake of removing the passive for better talent options then be my guest. IN the current state I wonāt agree.
Good for you, and last time I played the class it was on dwons modded. Was there some point to this or was this simply in fit of moment because something i never even directly aimed at you? Or maybe you are just massive ChocoB fan?
Squishy mage? In what metric? That she canāt facetank as much as ironbreaker?
Yeah letās just conveniently ignore that its an elf with with superior dodging/mobility to ironbreaker, so if you know what the heck you are doing, then you are not going to take as many hits as ironbreaker either.
Then you got potentially 2-3 insanely good tools for making room, 1 with repel talent , 2 by pressing F (Unless you are big fan of the wall) and if you are really fancy you can even use that funny staff to relive any sort of elite/special pressure.
Finally you can also simply kill yourself out of situationās that ironbreaker simply cannot. Yeah Zealot can definitely keep up with the killing power and even go beyond but even he has nowhere close to the amount of controls tools that Sott has.
So yeah I agree she might be squishier than others when simply looking at how much damage she can take, but this is ignoring all the tools she has at her disposal to avoid lots of damage in the first place. I still donāt see why she would need to have greatly increased thp gains on top of all this.
Because she might have to solo once in 10 games and have some weak point to her?
Its definitely not for build diversity either when she can already make everything apart from swiftbow viable.
Read again.
There was a point to this. Read again.
Ok.I think itās a perspective issue;should be fixed if youā ve read again already.
Read again.
Yes of course this is why i made this post, because i decided to ignore every tools she had and went for the feedback forum, straight.I should start reading her perks and talents. Makes sense.
Again a very constructive addition to our āādebateāā with unexpected points of view.
sure whatever, Iām clearly wasting my time here.
It may have not been extremely polite (dismissive and sarcastic); the response also includes some personal attacks and sarcasm towards you, suggesting that you may be biased or overly supportive of the SotT (āmassive ChocoB fanā), but @hgjw did have some points:
