Sir Melk hurt my feelings

I was running toward the mission select area and ignoring the contract shop like I normally do when I heard him say something about contracts being important and me being not or something. Why is he trying to attack my self worth like that? Is it because I never take any of his contracts and he’s getting desperate? That was very uncalled for. I tried to report him to the ship administration but couldn’t figure out a way to do so. Can anyone help?

Feelings? Sound like heresy to me, a guardsman should not have “feelings”. You’re lucky there weren’t any commissars nearby. I suggest checking with the nearest tech-priest to fix your brain before you fall to chaos.

We are Rejects, my dear. As such they may treat us as they like. Because we are worth nothing much.

And under all of the Emperor’s servants, we may be grateful about every day they keep us around and give us a chance to prove ourselves … instead of allocating us to the hundreds of servants that perish daily with cleaning toxic interiors of the ship’s drives.

You are to obey. And take Melk’s remarks as they come. I am surprised you are still around, after your reporting attempt.

Discontent will forever stay beyond the concept of our days.

oh no i guess i was really lucky. ok i will see a tech priest

TBF what is Sir Melk even good for? The shop items could go 1:1 into the normal shop. They arent outstanding and are mediocre (except rarity) at its best statswise.
The additional currency feels like it was for skins and premium items but didnt made it halfway through development.

i will keep that in mind 0_0

yes i remember taking one look at the shop and the ridiculous hoops the game wants you to jump through and decided it was worthless. the fact the game forces you to run past it in order to get the mission screen if you’re just trying to get into a game as fast as possible makes me want to ignore it even more. same with the cosmetics shop.

He loves my Veteran and Ogryn but snarks my Pskyer and Zealot.

hmm, interesting, never noticed. … maybe Melk’s got an egenda here …

maybe he’s jealous of the psyker and zealots closer relationship with the God Emperor.

true, for players that just liked to get into the next mission, I’d also liked a respawn location nearer to mission selection.

else, to look up gear and improving it is ofc essential. so, “shopping” needs to be done from time to time as a part of playing and advancing. Melk is just another option. You’ll survive without him. But, once in a while I will check my special currency and have a look at Melk’s offers …

((I am confused with your change of in-character and player point of view))

All I can say is do NOT talk to the Administratum or the HR Commissar. Before you realise it will be YOU who is labelled as a problem and let go. Literally let go. It is quite far to the surface from up here.

You’re half a step above a penal legion, which is why you are even allowed weapons. Be lucky you’re not being used for mine clearing duty.

Sir Melk also made fun of the way that I smell, but in that case, he was entirely correct:

I was just in a game where I asked, “Do people even bathe in WH: 40K ?”. The guy on mic said that, “In the hive cities, once every two weeks.” He referenced a specific book.

Melk not actually having that drink with you is worse than any of his contracts. Stop offering. That would be a funny cutscene for actually bothering with weeklies.
