My optimal sights would be:
-
Scope, but with my crosshair (default yellow scope reticle invisible)
-
No sight, gun slightly lowered, so I can use my crosshair to aim
I made a post about removing, or making transparent, the reticle from the scopes from the Weapon Customization mod, but couldn’t find a way. Since found some slight workarounds via a ‘No Sights Weapon Customization Plugin’ mod.
The default reticle and ironsight (no mods) shows incorrect placement, so you have to use other mods, including ADS Crosshair to see where you actually need to shoot.
There’s another mod that goes with Weapon Customization Mod, called ‘Weapon Customization No Sights Plugin’, which allows you to use ‘No Sight’ as an option for a sight.
Notes on the Mod:
I’m only using this mod to put the ADS Crosshair in space, and not lower or change any values for the height of the scopes (these sliders don’t work for me, the mod is old and some of the newer guns aren’t mentioned).
Some of the options can be a bit scuffed, lifting the gun up to cover your screen (like you’ve shot a single round with the default gun options), but I’ll just post the things I’ve found that work.
Heavy Las Pistol:
This allows you to remove the sight from Heavy Las Pistol, so you ONLY get your ADS crosshair.
Recon Lasgun:
No sight.
Infantry Lasgun:
No sight.
Best by far.
Helbore:
NO FIX.
This sucks, because even the big sights on these blind you, when you shoot.
Bolt Pistol:
Allows you to remove the ironsight from the Bolt Pistol
The SH Boltgun:
Also lowers it to the bottom of the screen, which is kind of weird, but also allows you to see even more. It looks like Doom.
Infantry Autoguns & Vigilant Autoguns:
Use No Sight and Flakmark Mk1 as the Barrel, to have a slightly lower Ironsights, which doesn’t impede your vision.
Zarona Revolver:
No fix.
