Shotguns and boomsticks

Maybe look again? Those ranges are for a shotgun with a full length barrel. The Ripper would barely qualify as a sawed-off. Hence its abysmal performance at range.

Which is fine due to its being very effective at close range against hordes and elites alike. Its the Skullcrushers version of the flamer with the extra bonus of not blinding yourself to use it.

Shotguns are much better now but still have terrible cleave, hurting their horde clear role. Why does the stubber have more cleave than the kickback? The kickback should have the cleave stat of the revolver.

respectfully disagree! really dont like the GG its a bit of a spreadshet trap (weapon that if judged on paper is good) imo.

too many disadvantages to the team , much better off taking out your knife or stick and doing what you do best.

after the buffs the kickback has gone from best of a bad bunch to actually pretty good. would be my go to.

I think you mean Skullbreaker? And no, Ripper doesn’t even come close to flamer.

Maps like Enclave Baross (sp?) with its tight hallways are fantastic for this gun and I’m trying to imagine what those encounters would be like if the shots could cleave 5 trash mobs.

I actually have been giving Run n’ Gun a good try because expansive got buffed (at least to meme status).

Turns out you can’t Run n’ Reload, and reloading stops sprinting. Can’t Run n’ Weapon Special either for the memes. So, for a mobility blessing, no. No it’s just as bad as the rest of Kickback’s blessings.

Switched it to Terrifying Barrage. At least that does something!

You should try a good rounded rumbler. With perks + unyielding and + carapace and blessings adhesive charge and shattering impact, it is fun AND efficient / powerful.

The 2 only good ogryns’ weapons are (for me) GG and rumbler. Others are fulfilling same role as BB MKIII but are just not as good at it…

Yeah the Kickback version should have gotten a running reload given it’s 1 GD shot.

I think they copied the Revolver versions and called it a day, but that’s a 6 shooter and is supposed to have triple tough regen while moving (currently still bugged: reversed)

I want them to launch the nuclear bomb everytime I shoot.
But in all seriousness, I want them to feel more deadly and bombastick, to literally melt dudes in close range, and a lot of them.
The Kickback is actually almost there, just a little more.
Sigh, they are mega mid right now, and don’t really feel super cool and sound kinda meh

Shotguns seem best at horde clear and light or unarmored infantry and stagger heavier infantry. The Lawbringer especially has some nice flex in this dimension with medium to long range and good usability.

Shotguns should be doulbing down on light infantry (unarmored targets like dregs, groaners) and infested infantry (unarmored! squishy!). Weirdly it seems like this is one of the weakest areas for shotguns. Dregs and Poxwalkers seem to tank a tremendous number of shotgun blasts despite the ostensibly high damage output. I’d like to see damage against the light troops increased.

Other weapons should be more focused on armor piercing. Both from a logic and lore perspective. Bolters, hot-shot lasguns, meltas, plasma, lucius las, etc all have their place doing armor pen. But the shotgun generally should double down on light infantry!
