(I’m using a Vraks VII headhunter autogun in the screenshots, but I got similar results with other guns)
I’ve noticed that shooting most foes in the hands, forearms or feet does 50% damage, which must be intentional.
Shooting gunners (and every other enemy in the game) in the upper arms and thighs results in full damage:
Shooting gunners in the hands or feet results in half-damage:
However, shooting the shotgunners in their exposed upper arms or thighs results in 75% damage.
If you shoot them a tad closer to the elbow or knee, that damage reduction immediately jumps to 50% (as for most other gunners).
As far as I could test it, they are the only armored enemy in the game who benefit from such a damage reduction on their exposed upper arms and thighs.
Is this a bug or a feature ? It seems counterintuitive to me to give enemies unarmored arms and thighs, only to give them a hefty 75% damage reduction.
