- Ogryn
- Psyker
- Veteran
- Zealot
Feel free to explain why down below if you wish.
Feel free to explain why down below if you wish.
Every class defining trait of the Veteran was either nerfed, or in the case of the reload on ult feat, removed entirely. It got some melee focused skills that can turn it into a crappier Zealot.
Krak grenades are alright. That’s literally it.
I should put my own reasoning if I’m going to vote, shouldn’t I? I chose Veteran, primarily because the lack of abilities make it feel like the tree is in an incomplete state.
A “they’re all good” option would be nice. Need more time with Vet to know for sure but they can still do some pretty dumb stuff with the right tools.
Veteran was considered OP only due to the fact that it was extremely effective at it’s job. It didn’t do anything fancy or over the top but what the Vet COULD do was effective and precise.
Now instead of refining or even bringing what it can do in line, FatShark has gutted everything that made the class so functional while giving the other classes absolutely godlike abilities and traits.
The Vet has no place in any team, for any reason, in any mission type. Every single other class can clear, kill, and survive infinitely better in every single way.
The worst and arguably the dumbest thing they did was remove the baseline ammunition buff for the class.
Hey FatShark: If you’re so worried about ammo economy, why did you give Psykers infinitely refreshing homing missiles? You make no sense.
mind sharing that headhunter build looks dope
I don’t want to flame anyone, but if you don’t pick vet, you’re just wrong.
Sure, these synthetic lab scenarios look impressive until you realised zealots can hit 70k+ on a single strike, guaranteed from stealth with zero risk. Sure vet can do some dumb things. Other classes can do even dumber things.
It’s mostly just deadly accurate + headhunter blessings with the finesse buff of HH and all the Vet weak point bonuses + Exe stance boosting it into the stratosphere.
T Hammer might well need a nerf dunno, haven’t run it post patch, but obviously there’s a difference between being point blank to do this kinda damage and being able to do it basically across map. Also before anyone brings it up yeah assail is pretty broken and probably getting nerfed so let’s not consider that one as much of a comparison point for now.
I’m also not saying Vet might not need some buffs here and there, I just think it needs some time to settle and for people to adapt to everything to know exactly what state everything is. It’s very common for people to give takes around this amount of time after a big update that we all look back on as cringe as hell later.
Monstrosities aren’t snipers or bombers. They only exist point blank. If you have the luxury of magdumping a monstrosity across the map, then nothing really matters. I’m not saying thammer is op, but if you’re gonna provide “evidence” of vet being whacky, at least find some clips that lend credibility to a definable aspect which they’re relatively better at. You’d be hard pressed.
vets definitely got less others were more brought up to thier level , but its not like they got bad
Sure but it’s not like that DPS is limited to monstrosities either. That’s just a lot of ranged DPS period, while having access to what is still far and away the best ammo regen in the game (which benefits team as well no less, just cause it was nerfed doesn’t mean scavenger isn’t still super duper good).
Anyway I’m not actually trying to make categorical statements yet or “provide evidence” that Vet is competitive or whatever, just showing some stuff I figure a lot of people haven’t figured out yet to try and give some pause to process all the changes a little longer before going off the deepend (of which I’m already seeing plenty of evidence around these forums).
Vet got hit the hardest. Still the strongest class though.
Can you repeat this with white weapons pls? I’ll wait and follow the thread
After all, we are discussing a Сlass, not a “god roll” weapon.
Really feels like Fatshark just kind of mailed it in on the Veteran rework. Rushed/unfinished or the community advisors were giving FS some bizarre recommendations. Overall what a waste of an opportunity.
Zealot One Shot Daemonhost Damnation (40k HP Life)
this is not “synthetic lab scenarios”
I don’t care what anyone says, oneshotting bosses should never be a thing that can happen.
What’s white rarity supposed to show? That’s never been a factor in balance discussions.
Well, if “crafting” system is as is, it should be.
To be fair, i do not think that a 25% unyielding perk being or not being there, would change all that much about this.
We can pick both blessings after all, if we do not touch the perks.
So outside of getting the blessings and a good base weapon in the first place, the performance of weapons should not massively change based on perks, as long as you do not need specific perks for relevant breakpoints.
