Issue Type (Required):
Performance
Issue Description (Required):
Since the latest hotfix I am experiencing issues specifically on my Ogryns hands while using the Baross Patrol Armour together with the Grenadier Gauntlet.
Purple Mesh will start to appear on the gloves during some animations. Notably while stimming and while charging certain attacks.
This could be temporarily solved by deleting shaders in appdata. This however dumpstered my performance for a few matches and the issue has reappeared (during the first match that I felt performance was back to normal).
Here is a link to an unlisted youtube video in which the issue is clearly visible.
Disabling the 2 mods I run (Dodge Counter and Region Lock) does not make a difference.
A full file verification was also performed, 1 file was reacquired, to no discernible benefit.
Running AMD 23.3.1 Edit: typo, it is 25.3.1 using a 9070XT.
[PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):
Yes, and I’ve tried disabling them
Reproduction Rate (Required):
Constant (100%)
Platform (Required):
PC - Steam
Hey Scary! Your GPU drivers might be a couple of years outdated. Could you try updating them, please?

Try a clean wipe of your AppData, making sure Steam Cloud Saving is disabled. Otherwise, the previously saved AppData is restored:
Step 1: Disable Steam Cloud Saving
If Steam Cloud saving is enabled for Darktide, this may automatically restore the AppData and consequently cause the issue to resurface.
- Navigate to your Steam library
- Right-click Darktide
- Select ‘Properties’
- On the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Steam Cloud’
- Disable ‘Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’
Step 2: Delete AppData
NOTE: By deleting your AppData, custom keybindings will be reset. You may wish to make a back-up of the directory in the event deleting your AppData does not work to resolve the issue.
- Press the Windows key + R
- Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
- Navigate to:
AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
- Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
Step 3: Verify Integrity of Game Files
You will then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, which is accessible via the Steam client and will ensure the installation is complete.
- Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
- Select ‘Properties’
- Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
- Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
- When complete, close and reopen Steam
I have followed the steps, other than Steam Cloud, this has been disabled on my end for more than a year.
The issue disappeared at first, and has since reappeared.
I couldn’t pinpoint exactly when, since I intermittently played with different cosmetics and other classes.
