I do.
I tracked the classes of other players for the past few matches (auric: damnation HI and HI+STG; not sure if it changes the matchmaking, but i was playing by myself as psyker).
- 14 ogryn (can not use bolter or autopistol)
- 14 zealots (2 with bolter and 1 of them used the autopistol)
- 14 veterans (6 with bolter and 1 of them used the autopistol)
- 10 psykers (can not use bolter and none of them used the autopistol)
So far, this is only 33 players, but i will keep collecting data (and updating this post) for a while.
Based on this data (as well as my general “feeling” when i played before taking notes) of how many veterans are present and how many of them use boltguns, i would say that both of your claims (use rate of vet as well as boltgun) are not correct.
Although i do remember that it felt like the class was the most picked early on (first few months after release).
Regarding the claims of some people that the autopistol is massively op and overused, please explain to me, why the most used guns seem to be braced autoguns, infantry lasguns and shotguns.
Edit: Lol i just had a match with 3 vets, all 3 of them had a boltgun.
