Seriously, a deluxe edition for a dlc?

You do that a lot.

This is cosmetics we are talking about, not a new weapon bundle locked behind a paywall. Is this is not the middle ground everyone “fought” for in years past?

The release is a class locked behind paywall. Today everyone who is whining will cry about the deluxe. When the class is released in 2 weeks everyone who didnt buy the class will cry about having to buy the class, PTW and power creep. Its becoming cry-wolfs. The solution for the deluxe edition is simple, dont buy it.

It doesn’t seem to kill Darktide so far. Do you have other examples when it did?

Actually, I like the business model of a moderately-priced game with free updates, features and maps with completely optional paid cosmetics and the occasional optional paid DLC every couple of years. What exactly would you change? (honest curiosity)

They always want everything for free, if something costs money they have come crying to the forums about it, or to the reddit or wherever, whoever will listen to their pointless whining. This DLC class costs $12 whole dollars!!!?!?! how will i ever manage to get that much money!!!?!

Not fleecing customers.

I don’t mind, skins as per say, but when 4 skins is more expensive than the game itself, that is fleecing to me.

£5 should get you all 4 skins, IMO.

As the most expensive part of any game should be the game.

I would also make sure that my fecking game, actually works, it’s balanced as good as it could be.

I am old school, games are piece of art to me, not a means to fleece to players to looks after the interests of investors to and agenda pushing puppets over the quality of a game.

What an awful attitude to have.

I mean, many working families with children have zero disposable income, some struggle to feed the families every month.

$12 to some people is a lot of money.

But I am glad for you, that you don’t live on the breadline.

I think $12 is reasonable, but I would like a little more for the money.

But I would like to see £5 buy the same sking for all 4 classes.

So for me $12 should get the character and free skin of your choice.

How much do you pay for your internet access?

I’d look at it more from a price relativity point of view. The deluxe DLC is like 1/3rd the cost of the game back when I bought it. By that logic the price is pretty high just for one class. Which is to say nothing about the cost of cosmetics, lol. But I’ll be buying it, personally.

First non-cosmetic gameplay costing drop in 2+ years. It may go on comparable discounts in the future $40 Game Launch price to $12 DLC both these combined are cheaper than most game drops.

Game discounted to $16 with last skull event too quite a sale.

I’m aware, mate. I specifically said back when I bought it. I’ll also throw in for good measure that we don’t all pay in USD. I pay in AUD which is often a 20%-40% markup.

You mentioned Stellar Blade and thats a fantastic example for my case. I’m thrilled to see your price is $59.99 but my regional equivalent is $109.95, so yeah, it adds up lol.

Looks to be a mark down… maybe country taxes?

Seem’s like Stellar Blade is ripping you off way more than Fatshark

Yes? The deluxe DLC which I referred to is around $20 which as I previously said costs about 1/3rd of the original cost of the game. What exactly are you disputing here?

Percentage based pricing is deceptive when overall pricing is cheaper, kind of semantically principal issue over overall cheaper price.

they are just copying what they offer for Verminetide2,

  1. Class = one price
  2. Class + Unique Cosmetics = another price
  3. Unique Cosmetics = another other price

its just that formula their using,

but the Arbites Class will likely still have Genetic cosmetics like are already in the free Shop.
and will also have Paid cosmetics like are already in the Paid Shop.

these i think are more like the Mortis Op Skins from the Game Delux.
