(Seemingly) Random crashes to desktop

We kindly ask that you complete the questions below. With this information, we can investigate your issue properly.

Issue Description:
I am experiencing random crashes to my desktop out of nowhere. Usually I have a vague direction I think it’s related to but this time I have none.

Right now I just crashed out of a session of Convocation of Decay, I was not even playing, I was waiting to be rescued. Yet the game decides to crash. And this is not a rare occurrence, hence my coming to this forum.

Don’t know what this is

Please help my Bardin slay enemies again soon, thank you!

Hi @Boarcas,

Looking at your logs it appears that your default GPU is set to Radeon HD 7800 Series.

This is unfortunately below the minimum requirements for Vermintide 2, and is likely resulting in your crashes as it cannot handle the demand.

Vermintide 2 Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 85 GB available space

Do you have another GPU that isn’t being detected?

No I have not. And I’m a little dazzled by this information because canyourunit.com said I have the minimum requirements

see

Are they wrong? If they are, I need to let them know!

Thanks for your quick reply btw!

Regards

Hm okay. I use UserBenchmark for system spec comparisons.

I’ve been trying to determine if there’s any difference between 7800 and 7800M, as I personally don’t know, but I haven’t been able to find anything useful regarding this. Though, the only selectable option on UserBenchmark is 7800M, so my assumption is that they are one and the same.

If this is the case, and you are below min specs, it just means that although you aren’t prevented entirely from playing, that the experience will likely be unstable.

Okay I will take that conclusion as well. I have aside from crashes pretty good fluid gameplay, with almost all settings on low. No sudden fps drops or weird things happening, no heat problems or driver crashes. Anyway, thanks for your replies! You can consider me satisfied with your technical support.
