Saving character builds and bot party selection

There are two features I would like to see in a future Vermintide 2 update; ability to save character builds and custom bot character selection, which ties into each other in a way. Both of these are intended to save time for the players.

The first idea is that if you’ve got a build for a character; say a Zealot with a specific set of gear and selection of talents and cosmetics, then you can save this so that if you want to play a Bounty Hunter for a while you wouldn’t need to go back and manually create the Zealot build again. You just go to career options and select that Zealot build and you’re ready to go. And that all gear assigned to a build is marked in the inventory so that in haste you don’t salvage some important item that you didn’t think about was part of a build.

The second idea comes from the fact of life that the friends that you play with may have work, family and other commitments that don’t let their schedule line up perfectly with your schedule all the time for everyone. And thus it would, in my opinion, be a great and good thing to let us select what builds (see above) we want the bots to be in our party, as well as when playing with both bots and humans so that we can be certain to get a specific bot we want at a certain time. For example I would love to see more of Sienna as a bot in my games but she never shows up unless a player picks her.

On PC, you can use the Loadout Manager (sanctioned) mod for both of these. On consoles, no such luck.

I do think that features like these should become part of the core game, though.

I’m not entirely sure if you have checked out the bot priority list (I don’t know if it exists for consoles) but you are able to select the priority table for which bots appear in your games, rated from 1-5. If your top options are not taken but players, they will appear in game in the order you arranged them. I’ve but Sienna as my #5 so I’ll never see her (the bot is bad with my favorite conflag staff :stuck_out_tongue:), but I always see my Kruber, Bardin, and Kerillian if they’re not being played.

Also, as mentioned above, Loadout Manager is great.

Yeah sometimes I wonder why some mods (not all of them) aren’t simply core game ?
Like the auto block when you open your chat, that would never bother anyone, and would simply help people out.

I’m happy to see that I am not alone in wanting these features. Hopefully we’ll see them or something down the line.

But no, to be honest I’ve never seen the bot priority list but I’d love to know how I get to it.

Also I should add, which should have been in OP but I add it now; To the “saving builds” part that for example you can have not just the last build you played, or one save, with but several like for example “Zealot DPS with two-handed sword”, “Zealot Munchkin with falchion and axe” and more (although I suppose there would be a limited number of slots to save builds in). So that you wouldn’t be restricted to a single build per career but can happily jump between several saved ones according to what you feel like playing.

Check the game options/settings, it’s buried there. I won’t run the game now to look for it, but if someone hasn’t clarified this tomorrow I can look for it.

No need to look for it. I found with your instructions on where to look.
