Hopefully I won’t regret posting this, but in the corridor section where you’d normally find the first Grimoire, I’ve noticed that if the Heroes are on the First floor, you can lob globes at them from the ground floor.
The damage effect is same, it doesn’t drop off and you can quickly wipe out a very good team with this tactic. It feels completely unfair however (or perhaps a perfectly acceptable Skaven tactic) as you can easily wrack up hundreds of points of damage very quickly.
It works across the entirity of the stone and wooden floor.
The irony here is someone on my team (after I used it to wipe a good party), actually asked me to stop, saying it was unfair for the otherside and encouraged me to report it.
Heroes will attack you through walls all the time and you won’t see it coming.
Why is the big, green, visible, telegraphed cloud you can dodge out of in a single dodge so unfair then?
It’s the same ballpark of jank that’s been integrated into the gameplay since long.
People playing VT2 have thousands of hours. Let’s not get deceived by peoples attempt at the “surprised pikachu face” defense. They know how the game works.
I agree, while it felt very Skavenesque it also felt a bit unfair, but you’re right, as heroes you can hit through walls.
It was odd in that instance though, as the team were seriously good, but highly confused. You could see their outlines spinning as they kept looking around trying to find me, but not one of them dropped down a floor to see me.
I think I had gained up to 1,000 points of damage for the globadier at the end of it (thanks to a zealot wracking up temp health).
EDIT: I should stress, it wasn’t the same team you can see in the screenshot, that was a match with a group of friends.
