A key issue with the trauma staff is that it doesn’t do anything particularly well. It can kill horde waves, but at the cost of scattering them making them harder to finish off; and the single target damage for a secondary is nice, but isn’t enough to reliably take out high priority elite/specials.
To fix these issues, what if the Trauma staff imploded and vacuumed enemies towards the blast turning it into a cc monster. I would also like more damage on it based on the how long its charged, but that might be asking a lot.
Eh? Depending on your squad comp (always a factor), trauma can be the highest damage dealer in your team. It has good stagger potential and deals really well with some of the annoying specials mixed in the horde. Sure things on the edge of the explosion will not always die, nothing is stopping you from cleaning up the mess.
Tbf I don’t think what you are asking for would be a problem…only pulling mobs to the middle of the implosion would boost its insane damage output even further, as the epicentre deals the highest damage.
I think pulling things in would be way too strong considering it already one shots most trash mobs on Damn in the epicentre. You would just end up vortexing an entire mixed horde into your death circle.
I personally think trauma is more than fine as is but a similar proposal I’ve seen that I prefer is that it knocks enemies down onto the ground in place instead of throwing them away. That’d be pretty balanced and visually pleasing I think.
Trauma staff is the best now. Just roll 375+ with 80% dmg and 80% radius. Best blessing is Warp Flurry\warp nexus\surge. Perks - 25% dmg on flak armour and with no armour. With this, and some expirience u can just smite every enemy on your path.
