There’s not a lot of point with having more wounds as generally this game has a quick death spiral effect where if one person is downed, there’s a high chance others will follow. I think revives should be a regular mechanic since there’s a very nice mechanic for it. It’s only really explorable on medium difficulty where on higher difficulties there is just no time to be bringing people up, two people cannot keep up the dps to compensate. This is especially a problem if someone is caught out of position, they are basically dead meat and anyone attempting rescue will have a high chance of losing the game for everyone. Leaving people behind should be highly unfavorable but for the most part it’s better to let them die to get them up later where they have no corruption.
