The TANK style gameplay itself is huge an insult to the game itself. Before anyone jumps to the conclusion that this is just rage bait, take a moment to consider this fact: Enemies who get taunted lose all basic AI functions and just walk toward the Ogryn like mindless insects, or worse, kick at thin air right where they stand. It automatically activates 3 times within 6 seconds, taunts for 15 seconds, and you can use it once every 20 or so seconds. I can’t think of a situation where it could be abused any more than this. Yes, you should be able to CC enemies with a ability, but you shouldn’t be able to mind control them with it, mind control is Psyker’s job Right now Loyal Protector is so overpowered that It ruins the gaming experience for both Ogryn and other players. Fatshark, please change this skill to a VOC without gold toughness, stuns enemies, gives 20% damage increase, and maybe limited to Ogryn’s own toughness regeneration. Let players fight the enemies normally, rather than watching their AI freeze up.

[image] ChuanZi: or worse, kick at thin air right where they stand. this is definitely one of the weirdest most unfinished parts of the game i agree taunt has a problem but only because it’s so scuffed and weird. shooters will put their weapons away and run at you, but gunners just run off when they get taunted or keep shooting unhindered. other elites do switch to melee so it’s just inconsistent. and then of course the specials just kicking the air… am i playing a beta version still i think taunt would be fine if it just made enemies target prioritize the ogryn though. in its current implementation it’s weird and broken and feels like it affects the AI way too much, you’re right, but i dont think the taunt aspect needs to be removed completely

Love it. With the threat of Shotgunner groups magdumping Tauntgryn, players would be more encouraged to use Taunt strategically rather than just blast it right off CD.

Nothing’s wrong with tank/taunt mechanics, taunt breaking enemy AI is a whole different question and yes it shouldn’t be a thing.

It is fine as is and working as intended.

Arguing that nerfing is unreasonable only means that you rely on the crutch too much
