Reading all this (not just this thread), one might assume you think the Hive Scum is being turned into an Ogryn. It’s still the same class, and aside from pickpocketing, I’ve only heard or read about buffs.
That’s an analogy I used to explain the pickpocket nerf to my friends even, Ranged scum will be as good as (current) gunlugger ogryn, or very similar.
I don’t really care about Polenta Melee, so I only really see nerfs.

And above all, it would be nice if people would wait to criticize until what they want to criticize is actually out. But even then, some would spend just 1 or 2 minutes with the new patch and still come up with meaningless criticism.
I would agree but, the point of early criticism is to avoid said criticized thing from happening, if you see a tornado coming to your house you don’t need to wait untill you are 20ft in the air to start preparing for it.
I agree if that were true, but in this thread and in multiple others there were plenty of in-good-faith attempts to explain why this nerf is a bad thing:
Imagine you go to a fast food place because they advertise a “bottomless fries” burger combo. That’s the hook, unlimited fries, no caveats. You pay extra for it because that’s the fantasy: eat fries until you’re done, not until the chef decides otherwise.
Now, a few months later, the restaurant changes the deal. They say:
“You still get fries, but now you only get more if you eat a polenta stick every 3 fries.”
The burger is the same, the fries are technically still unlimited, but the experie…
I mean . . . it undeniably is. If you pop ult when you have zero ammo, you have to keep shooting enemies to keep uptime on the ult. When it runs out, you’ll once again be set to zero ammo. If you stop shooting to melee, your ult ticks down, wasting potential ammo you could have spent for free. It’s a definite nerf, because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in the situation where I precisely used the synergy of ult to get ammo back for when it ran out.

I mean that for that build to feel “fair” to people so caring about the balance, they’d have to tear down the entire class, not just ammo, but also things that let them kill Crushers, including rending and blitz.
Either way I’m happy this nerf is not that bad, even though I can understand why some people might want it.
But those nerfs I described won’t happen, Fatshark is not on a suicide watch to gamble with game’s longevity like that, after selling this kind of power on a DLC class. Realisti…
