in this way players would be rewarded by starting off with a Gray weapon and Leveling it one step at a time. rather that all this RNG having to look for or wait and pray for what you need.
with this change you could get a Gray or Green weapon Refine the perk, then Consecrate, you gain a Blue weapon thats fully unlocked. Re-Bless to a Blessing you want, then Consecrate, you gain a Purple weapon thats fully unlocked. so you can now Refine the new Perk!
this would allow us to build the weapons and tools we want as to get our perfect build, making games better and more fun, and as such toy with more builds as all our time wont just go into looking for that one single item that would make our one build good.
I think with your proposal the issue would still be what if you bought an orange weapon that was prefect except didn’t have the two blessings you want? You can’t consecrate it further.
But I would agree that something to remove locks is necessary. Whether it’s another consecration cost at orange to “unlock” them and making a new change re-applies the locks, or something else. I think it would actually be simpler to just have a resource cost to “Swap” locks on blessings/perks. Spend a bunch of diamonds to have it unlock one perk/blessing, and lock the others even if you previously made a change. People have been needing a diamond sink in the game so there you go. And Fatshark gets to save face a bit by not fully removing the locks and retaining some of the grind.
