Cleaver needs a complete blessing rework. Make it Ogryn’s first crit melee weapon: give it Shred, maybe extra stacks of bleed on crit attacks or weakspot hits, etc. Those terrible crit on push or whatever blessings should be completely scrapped.

Yeah like a strikedown that ignores armour on a successful push (or punch) or something similar would be a good way to go about the cleaver.

Cleaver has already given Ogryn more flexibility than this class deserves; further buffs will only exacerbate the game’s power inflation.
Don’t use damage performance in Havoc as the sole criterion for evaluating a weapon’s effectiveness.
Nerfing other weapons is the right approach.

what flexbility does it give u when 10 cara or shield show up like a great wall of china on Mstorm/havoc/even event , its fatsharks own fuking fault to spawn 10000000000 Cara n shield break the fuking game.

i agree it doesnt need damage/speed buff but the blessing and moveset need rework for sure.

When you encounter an opinion you disagree with, launching baseless personal attacks instead of addressing the argument makes you look ignorant and rude.

Just yesterday, on the day of the update, I reached Havoc 39 with Ogryn within a few hours, so I believe I have a basic understanding of high-difficulty missions.

I’ll say it again: the Cleaver is too mobile, and Ogryn’s other weapons are simply too overpowered.

This game isn’t designed around Havoc. Personally, I don’t like a game where you just press W + left click to slaughter everything. You’re welcome to disagree.

Well we’ve ended up with Rotten Armour and other forms of Carapace elite spam, because of stuff like inferno staff psyker and Desperado HS effortlessly deletes mixed hordes, and then specific weapons dunk on heavy elites due to the power and ADM values should have been adjusted downwards ages ago.

Then when there are signs of new balance changes to those weapons and builds, to make the game MORE challenging, some people throw tantrums, review bomb the game, and abuse every possible system. Only so they can prevent this from happening, or hide that their actions are being criticised and exposed to the wider community.

but also fat shark report system does nothing

yesterday i went to havoc 30 with ogryn cleaver and i killed 4 times of them , they still angry because i expose their weakness or needing Broken “Taunt” spamming .

Firstly, let me reiterate: this game isn’t designed around the Havoc.

Secondly, I reached Havoc Assignment Rank 40 yesterday using only the Cleaver. Not Clearance Level—Assignment Rank.
This means the weapon can deliver a consistent win rate for me and my squad.
If I can do it, I believe any able-bodied, average player can do it. Therefore, I don’t think this weapon needs any buffs.

How does Ogryn not “deserve more flexibility”?

What I really would like Cleaver to get is for that fist punch you do on alt-attack to be able to “open” bulwark’s shield. If not with one hit, then at least with 2 of them.

The ogryn cleaver really was one of the most well balanced weapons in the game until they decided to mess with all breakpoints in the game and change what the game spawns.
I think buffing it is neither required nor a good idea, strictly speaking. I’d like to see more fun blessings on it that’s all. They should revert the elite HP nerfs and just nerf stuff like flame staff and dueling swords. It’s a shame that well designed, balanced weapons like this have to get punted into unfun territory just because the “never nerf anything” mindset people will literally incinerate themselves publicly in protest if that did happen. Like, nice idea that only buffs are good and nerfs are all bad, but not nerfing the outliers nerfed all the balanced weapons indirectly.

It’s still pretty good while being slightly undertuned, due to the HP buffs. It did deserve to be one of the best cleaving weps in the game. Just straight buffing it now and putting it on par with other armor killing options is a bad idea though. Giving Ogryn what is essentially a dueling sword really would be detrimental for the game, things need to come down from that level not move up to it

It’s painful to think what state this game would be in if they had pro actively nerfed what needed to be tuned down and we had avoided the various rounds of HP and spawn increases.

It really wasn’t. Before the Ogryn rework it was one of the weakest Ogryn weapons (after the Paul), and while it had the best light melee DPS out of his weapons in vacuum (not saying much because Ogryn had no light attack talents and it was still worse than any other class light attack DPS/clear lol), it’s light attack clear was worse than Shovel with BM. Not to mention it was the only weapon where Slam actually did something because it couldn’t even stagger Ragers and Maulers with weakspot hits without it.

After the rework Cleavers became OK, but were nerfed with Batter and keystone nerfs because the unga-bunga club gameplay was overperforming. Right now there is absolutely zero reasons to use them, unless you want a self-imposed challenge or want to dunk on meta peasants.

They should be reworked into finesse and crit weapons, because clubs and shovels do the same, but better. Terrible 15% crit after the push blessing should be reworked into crit against bleeding enemies or bleed on crit or something like that. Shred should be added too. Maybe “can-opener” for the special, etc
