Random freeze during missions

Crash - During Play

Issue Description (Required):

During mission, PC will hard lock with no warning ( no audio issues or framerate losses prior ) at random. Display does not blackscreen, shows last image of game at moment of freeze. Audio stops instantly. No error messages, unable to alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete. Must power down system and restart to recover PC.

This is very likely to be driver or hardware-related. Please see:

After going through the bullet points listed in that link, it appears turning XMP off has done the trick.

Memory speed has dropped from 7200 to the stock ddr5 4800, but has not reduced performance as far as I can see.
