Queueing for Havoc is frustrating

  1. If you see a comp forming, you can’t quickly change Class/Role and join them - You have to wait the entire loading screen and then run back to the terminal - you should be able to change Character/Role ON the Havoc terminal
  2. You can’t let people know that you can switch Class/Role - or communicate with them in general - get declined instead
  3. You can’t kick people from your group who are being uncooperative/uncommunicative or straight up griefing
  4. There’s no base game view of peoples builds before they join - you could want a Support/Boss Killing, and just have to gamble that the person you invite is that. You then can’t kick them if they don’t switch and won’t leave
  5. You can’t tell people what the intention your build is for in the base game
  6. You can’t advertise what you’re looking for: E.g: ‘Need Boss Killing’
  7. Chat is still bugged, so you can’t communicate once you’ve joined the group
  8. Using more mods is frustrating, due to new versions and crashes
  9. It takes too long and is too manual, so you’re just sitting staring at a menu for 10 mins+ sometimes - In VT2 you could just queue and people join on you
  10. Nowhere to test Weapons on Havoc level enemies. Would need a more dense Horde to test on too
  11. People can spam request to join, which spams the entire team. There’s nothing you can do to stop it

I don’t like Havoc
But the lack of quickplay is a wall I won’t try to break.

1st, 4th and 7th can be solved with mods at the very least

But yeah it sucks these aren’t base on the game

It really does, especially considering that we are playing alongside console players

There need to be lobby tags, such as “Need Zealot”, “Need Veteran” etc. So people applying for lobbies know what the host wants at least in terms of the class.

No

Quickplay is a must.

I play Havoc 40 every week since its release, and quickplay will never work, unless they completely rework the gamemode and difficulty which won’t happen at this point, since even small changes to Havoc take 6+ months of complaining (like people asking to rework Rotten Armor or change blue stimm which was plain broken on first iteration of stimms mod).

Why?

We have missions also with quickplay OR without

Why it would not work if you have the choice?

a simple map table with a 10/20/30/40 on offer, take it or leave it, no rejection, no “we want” or “we need”…

noone “needs” anything besides the safety belt or parachute he wishes for and thats a “him problem”, not mine.

put 4 dudes into the hangar like the whole rest of the game operates outside havoc, group fails so what?

5 minutes later next try and on we go.

no rank, no demotion etc just a free pick between 10-40 and off you go.

whats so fking hard about that?

people have gotten far to comfortable in the assumption everything needs to be winnable or a default victory from the getgo.

time to undo the “working-setup” of toughness+taunt+bubble and force em to work their asses off instead again.

had some treats again today with ps5 logo and havoc40 rank that went backwards in a straight line tank control, jerking his endless lasgun, making you wonder what kinda “momma” forced the rest to take the little runt-brother with em at the threat of getting a whoopin otherwise :joy:

Because compared to auric which is pretty easy currently for extremely skilled players, the difficulty of Havoc is still too high even for those players. Especially where it comes to quick playing into a lobby of average players with completely random builds (some might even have troll builds without taking keystones and having all their points allocated before the end of the skilltree).

There needs to be some sort of synergy between classes in Havoc, unless there’s a premade of 2+ strong players on your team already who can bounce of each other easily, even if they both play 2 Psykers, 2 Zealots, etc, and even then they will have an easier time if both play different loadouts for different purposes (charge zealot + thunder hammer boss killer). Identical classes and builds often cannabilize on each other’s mechanics in Havoc, like 2+ people overusing their ranged guns on the team or 2+ people having strictly DPS builds (2+ Psykers on the same team) which means that the team’s overall survavibility will be low with no way to come back in desperate situtions.

It takes less time to host your own party finder lobby and find 4 different classes (if not specific ones) than it does get 4 people with no synergy between their builds, lose in the first 20% of the map, wait through all the loading screens and everyone instantly leaves after, hoping to get a better team next quickplay game.

And?

You really don’t read…
You could always spend your time at looking for teammates.
Do you think Havoc 1 to 39 have been removed from the game? do you think Havoc 1 is impossible in quickplay?
Seriously?

Yeah, we should be able to change characters much faster. It’s annoying how long it takes (assuming you aren’t using mods).

Honestly best way is just to use the Darktide official discord most of the time.

Bugs, and some silly difficulty modifiers aside great core gameplay. Terrible user experience. Which is pretty sad, as for many people Havoc is their main game mode, and playing it can be a real hassle.

I think there should be separate but equal modes for console players

To add quickplay for havok just ruin it and we get one more dead gamemode. At least on 30+.
I met too many “genius” players even on 20+ who at first glance have only one goal - be useless.

you need to add elaborate options to autotune groups then, not only class restrictions, but also talent preferency options for them

but i also could be agree that havok is a bad way to up difficult and its current state and principals too far from auric.

I would be glad to see some other havok

Again, why ?
I really don’t see why it would ruin your game if you use the party finder like actually

Please explain how it could ruin your games if nobody can join your party and only the ones that choose this way can jump in a random party
I really don’t see how

Maybe i am stupid, then explain to me

and thats exactly the issue i got with havoc, noone is due for a “preference” when dealing with randos.

you get 3 dudes tossed at your feet and roll with the dice win or loss :man_shrugging:

otherwise its always the safest route of the least resistance.
last matches worked fine despite no yellow toughness or bubble and it was a more rewarding experience for it.

anyways, having to “apply” for a team isnt worth the hassle, more so if until havoc no one has to bother or waste a single second towards hitting “play”

Well, let’s turn imagination on:

If QP would be added to Havoc, there would be some processes:

New and more casual ppl will start to use QP, get an absolutely sh!t group in 9 out of 10 tries, and just stop playing Havoc at all.

In the meantime, the general mass of ppl will stop using Party Finder, and it will die, coz there is a much simpler way to try Havoc — QP.

So those who will continue to make solid groups will start to lack ppl for them. It will make the time to find members longer and longer, and some part of them will just drop trying.

You can easily see how many ppl use Party Finder to make groups outside of Havoc — almost zero.

It will probably not affect low Havocs at all (they’re casual enough for keyboard-faceroll play), but 30+ will die, definitely.

It will not happen in one moment after adding QP, but gradually we will come to this. Some months will be enough.

My god… Learn to read.

You could use the party finder!!!

So your problem is that you don’t want others playing your game mode.
Are you afraid that there could be others that could play it?

Elitism?

And don’t worry, I don’t want playing havoc, I hate the ammunition modifier. I want an other difficulty.
Something with that:

  • Enemies with more HP
  • Hordes with really more enemies (x 3 - like before consoles)
  • Emperor’s fading light
  • Damages from enemies increased a little

However, I can understand that this is really something that is annoying and especially when you consider that there is an easy solution.

Big yes for Dif 6 with EFL modifier and Havoc 30-40 difficulty without idiotic modifiers like blight, purple, etc.

Big no to QP for Havoc, if anything, party finder feater should be expanded with custom text, inspect loadout, etc, like was suggested above. QP literally won’t work for the current way of how Havoc set up because there is no mission board and someone needs to host anyway.
