It’s absolutely pathetic that solo still hasn’t been delivered and we’re just being gaslighted with radio silence, thinking we’ll forget.
Me and my friends also would like a proper solo and private coop like Vermintide2. This was the best game mode with or without friends. It made leveling and gearing other class fun since we would use them as bots and define the team and change it when we wanted to experience a different gameplay.
Any solo with progression will be welcome. I like to appreciate the map design, the atmosphere, the lighting and move slowly while scavenging. I enjoy looking at the scenery, explore and just fight as much as i want without having goons running toward the exit as fast as possible while skipping as much of the game as possible. I especially enjoy No Power mod where its dark and every light cast shadows and only lit up a small radius.

Solo mode even has special modifiers like “exploration mode” which disables all spawns and lets you fully enjoy the scenery.
Lol funny solo Space Marine has no offline saves too its such a shady scummy practice they employ now and expect us to act like its fine but stay blessed gang
ONG G You are a Mighty Lad!
In my experience Darktide is a much better co-op experience with private lobbies. No rushers, no level 100’s in T3, just you and a friend(s) and the hordes. I’ve been playing duos with a friend and it’s really been a transformative experience. Hel is other people, as they say.
Also, an Ogryn bot would make me so happy

This sure is helpful for all the console players, I bet they really appreciate that the devs said “screw you, buy it on PC if you want to play solo with Mods. We learned from Bethesda, ‘why pay our employees to implement what our community will do for free’”
I sure bet they would… Do you think we’ll ever get an official Solo Mode for Darktide?
Honestly? Not while the game is still receiving active support. I’m expecting the suits to say “we’ve milked this dry, onto the next” and throw the game on “maintenance mode” where the devs who actually care are no longer stopped from adding things they’ve wanted to add but kept getting stopped, like how PvP for Vermintide 2 wasn’t added until Vermintide 2 was on “maintenance mode.”
You know… Supposedly, FatShark is currently working on a new game. Maybe when it finally releases (in whatever state it will be at launch…) FatShark will probably put both Tide games on a back burner and focus on their “Big new thing”, hopefully.
At least, in an ideal scenario, that would mean more care and meaningful content for Darktide. It might as well, once again, end up in a failure of a launch, but this time it probably won’t be saved since, from what I’ve heard, it’s not a golden goose of an IP like 40k is.
given current events, breaking the game twice in a row and keeping mods at risk for about 18 months now, id say hopefully they don’t.
got a version of old fallout 4 modded and ready to go on both an old rig as well as the new one, copied to an external hard disk and turned steam updates off till judgement day.
conspiracy fans will say they do it to spite fallout london which ironically is worlds better than anything bethesda put out the last 10 years and f em with a rusty ten pole for thinking I’d ever spend one dime on that abomination that is creation club.
so nope, it aint the bethesda that gave us terminator future shock in the 90s, sadly
Yeah. They’re not the source, but where EA is the poster child of scummy monetization, Nintendo is the poster child of “what’s mine is mine, and what’s yours is mine” lawsuits, Bethesda is the poster child of “ehh, good enough, modders will fix it”
up
Morrowind was the last time Bethesda did a truly great game, their magnum opus imo. But I know they just look at the sales numbers of Skyrim and Fo4 and think “this must be our best work”.
It took literal years for me to actually start enjoying Morrowind (I would make a character play for a couple of hours and give up and then return six months later and repeat the process) because I didn’t understand the game or why none of my attacks hit nowdays though my accuracy is only low for the first hour or so of gameplay and not low enough for me to be unable to fight. Once you understand the game it becomes a near flawless (stealth sucks that’s the one flaw) masterpiece.
The majority of time spent in a Morriwind playthrough I will have a near 100% hit chance.

Hey. Devs. We’re not quieting down. Add solo.
sure… I advice everyone to put a reminder every 13 days to keep this topic open.
Yeah I resolved quite a while ago that I absolutely refuse to throw any money at this game till they make good on this promise.
It’s a shame because Scum unironically looks fun and I’m the sort of person who’d happily buy the DLC 3 times over just to entice my old group that I basically never get to play with anymore back on for a few more nights.
But I just don’t feel good spending money on this game till it provides this core promised feature.
