Just an off-topic remark, but I find it hilarious how CP2077 ingame slang is now used by significant portions of the Gaming Community.
Yeah I thought it was funny just seeing corpo just popping up on comment sections where corporate bs is involved
I mean the word is just great slang for it.
The solution to this issue is the same as the one to every other issue:
Stop buying MTX.
They only listen if their bottom line is significantly impacted.
i wish they could do somthing like thie. All i want to do is pain everything in green so i can look like the typical guardsmen/cadian
FOMO shop is gonna lose Fatshark money in the future, People will get the cosmetics they want and once its gone thats it, where as having a shop with everything always available people will always be looking at the full selection.
Weapons for example, People might only play with one weapon then suddenly start trying out new ones and find that they like them and want some cosmetics for them only to find that non are on rotation.
Just my two cents.
I get that just donât buy into it ideal but how are they gunna know how we feel about things if we donât voice our concerns. With good reasons and good intentions even if they donât care.
Yeah, you need both, donât buy and let them know why youâre not buying.
For a moment they made a promise they would do exactly this and then for some reason just stopped doing it sometime ago for some bs reason of not being able to code in more tabs in the shop or something.
They can have more tabs
We had 4 at one point, the reason was players would be overwhelmed if there was a page for everything.
Basically corpo speak for no weâre doing fomo screw you.
Thereâs truth to that from a psychological standpoint.
Issue here: The shop invalidates itâs rules of 3 itself by making use of this âmodern-windowsâ esque style where you have big fancy, unnecessary buttons, all differently sized and what not. Then that spread over several pages.
Nobody has fun flipping through pages of windows-design inspired, irregularly sized buttons.
On top of that, itâs more than 3 options per page anyway with all these tiny items and extra sales.
The modern windows design is actually not userfriendly, itâs user hostile because itâs too irritating. Not something Iâd recommend emulating.
Better: Have one page for every class, make 3 bundles per class, that actually have kickass items included, then give the 3 meaningful options right there on that one class page. Drop the single-item sales.
Now you get a choice of 3 that is actually relevant, because all 3 choices are presented at once. Donât do pages to flip through. The first page always buries the others.
That is the whole point of creating a FOMO shop.
You want your newest offering to be presented in a promotional approach that will entice everyone to buy the âwowâ latest thingy: 500% value!!!
500% value? I âNEEDâ to get it now. Iâd be a moron if I didnât!
I despise it, and I would rather that everything released thus far be available at all times, but it is what it is.
You can unironically achieve the same effect more subtly and without cluttering the store up by simply cycling new listings in on the left, giving the button a tiny differently colored edge and throwing out the old ones on the right.
Most of the world reads from left to right. This is much more powerful psychology, than doing the pages approach. Having pages means the old stuff doesnât even get noticed anymore. Itâs less effective for sales pitching.
Invert the whole scheme in Japan of course. Things could be so easyâŚ
True, but Iâll stand by with what Iâve previously stated, they shouldnât have designed the shop like this in the first place.
Maintain constant availability through a grid storefront, Vermintide cough cough, and introduce new offerings in updates.
Tide games are already a niche market in their own right. This isnât Call of Duty (Hedge lol) or Diablo 4, where you can swindle money from millions of gamers.
This is something that Ghost Ship Games understand very well and Fatshark doesnât.
See ghost ship actually give an f about their community
Somethings an issue especially with something payed, they address it very quickly.
Another thing Iâve been thinking about:
Fatshark just released an update with a new map and a rework of the talent tree for the Veteran.
I donât have a degree in business and am bad at math, but in my opinion this would be the perfect time to update the mTX store, add three more pages and offer them at a 20% discount.
People are coming back to see the update. The mTX store will be updated along with the content to drive sales from old/new players checking out the update.
This is how many other GaaS games do it, including Guild wars 2, but it seems like Fatshark doesnât understand how to monotize their game properly.
that Sounds to good to be in darkite but we can always hope they do something similar

Even just putting a full set of not-previously-sold cosmetics in this rotation would have been a good start ![]()
For the Zealot and Veteran outfits in this rotation, at least, the possible outcomes are
- You bought it before, so you wonât be buying during this rotation
- You didnât want to buy because you donât like the set
- You missed out previously, and can now buy it
2 of 3 outcomes result in no money being spent.
I get that FS probably may want to limit the rate at which new stuff is released (so they donât catch up to themselves and have nothing new to offer for an extended period of time), but seeing repeats in the shop regularly is boring.
Even more jarring is getting a repeat and then a reskin in the same month.
Maybe in 2 weeks we get new cosmetics? This is so ridiculous lol
In 2 weeks we get reskin lmao
It will be absolutely hilarious if veteran the most played class gets nothing actually new in 2 months.
