Came back to try out the new class, was super enthused to have my runs constantly plagued with poxbursters I can’t push that seem to teleport through crowds. Anyhow, it is my opinion that we need at least less of them and if they just went away I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. They feel like an easy button for the AI director.
FS won’t listen, but I agree. They can’t ever seem to fix them. My vote would be to just remove them altogether.
They changed the way Poxbursters work so they will pretty much almost always blow up after chasing someone and being pushed away. What seems to have been changed and affecting a lot of people is the distance in which they’re registering to be pushable. It seems like we lost at least 2 feet worth of room and need to wait for them to get closer before pushing. With that being said, I have less issues with them now than ever before.
Agreed, although I found them easier before. I was used to their quirks.
No matter what they do, Poxbursters feel bad and very unfair. When they aren’t stealth, then they have issues being pushed. If they don’t have those then they will insta spawn on top of the team. If none of those then they won’t explode after being pushed or just explode because whatever. Its just rediculous. As far as I am concerned they just ruin the game.
This is how every game goes for me. I definitely see improvements since they patched them and they are also much more consistent with exploding. Sometimes sounds can be wonky but mainly when they are coming out of doors. I really have no issues with pushing them, I don’t know if it’s a connection issue or timing issue but I have plenty of proof.
This is the big issue, I think. Too often I’m having to spam pushes because they don’t respond the way they used to. Part of that is probably me pushing too soon based on habit from before the latest changes, but it feels bad when they seemingly ignore a push that would have worked in the past. If they adjust the pushable range back to where it was previously, bursters would be more or less fixed IMO.
You were lucky in this game. They have responded well to pushing. It doesn’t always happen and even double tap doesn’t work…
The worst situation is when they jump at you from far away - pushing doesn’t apply anymore and you can’t do anything…
“Lucky this game” I literally said it goes like this EVERY game and I have plenty of proof. This is definitely a lack of understanding when it comes to how poxbursters work
Yes they feel more broken than ever. Registering a push is a total lottery. Sometimes they just run straight past you even though you pushed them.
This would be nice if it worked like that but it doesn’t. If you push them, they will still not explode and their hit detection for being pushed has got worse every patch.
Well I guess out of the 30,000 people playing I am the only one that has absolutely no issues with poxbursters! Damn, I should go buy a lottery ticket!
“sometimes” so it doesn’t happen ALL the time then. Interesting. Some people saying it happens ALL the time, you saying sometimes, and me saying it BARELY ever happens. You know what that means? There’s something missing in the equation here.
By that I meant that sometimes they literally just brush past you and carry on to someone else and ignore your push…then they get pushed by that person back to you etc.
It’s hard to describe but something feels very off. I’m getting hit by bursters all the time now and I rarely got hit before. They’re definitely feeling broken to me
There has to be something going on in their code or latency wise. It makes no sense how I go from having similar issues to as little issues as ever while others are still having tons of issues. I MAINLY have that pushing issue when paired with Ogryns. Yes, sounds strange but I swear Ogryns have a weird interaction with enemies that they are more drawn to them.
Half the time I am in a game with an Ogryn I will experience the burster trying to RUN past me and be immune to a push. Other than that though, I have been experiencing less issues with bursters than ever. Luckily people barely play Ogryn anyways so I very rarely see this
I play as ogryn main so maybe that’s my problem ![]()
I would be very curious how your experience changed if you tried playing another class for a little lol. Then again though, you’re far from the only person claiming this so idk. Still, would be interesting to know lol
Bursters lock on to someone, and the rest of the team doesn’t get the enhanced pushing range, not even during ticking anymore, so they end up being pushed not far enough, exploding still in range half the time.
Just revert the latest change, anything is better than what we have currently.
Yes, we can see lack of understaning on every comment of yours ;]
