For plasma gun, I just think they are changing too many things at once. As in, they are hitting like 6 different areas at the same time and reducing their values by as much as 90%. Surely they could do these things a little more incrementally and check out the results?
Both nerf need to happen, but the nerf leaked is not final yet so we’re not even sure what it’ll really look like.
Plasma literally can still do the same thing as current patch, just with secondary fire instead of braindead m1 spam.
Even if the nerf if heavy handed, if they’re doing what they said about more frequent balance pass then they can make sure to get it right in later patch.
That’s what a competent dev should do anyway, but sadly, it’s not what Fatshark is known for.

“More frequent” in Fatshark terms could mean just about anything. I think the human classes are tricky to balance innately with all the weapon overlap.

These changes are leaks confirmed to at very least a work in progress. Discussing unintentionally leaked half plans is an exercise in futility.
On the contrary, now at least we have a chance to voice our opinion on the discussed changes before they are implemented.
I mean that depends a lot on how serious or far along these leaked balance changes actually are.
Since they’ve more or less said this round of balance changes won’t include these nerfs I’d say the answer to that is “not very”.

As I’ve mentioned before, I never ever see other people’s use of PG as an issue. It has never stolen the fun from my game. So for changes on it I’m quite indifferent but I do think that having to charge for cleave just makes sense. It’s expected behaviour for this type of videogame mechanic. You want powerful infinite cleave? Then charge the gun up!
Ds nerfs sound good but I’ve hardly used it so will respect the hive mind on it. Other people using it has stolen a lot of fun from my games though.
Why on earth they gave such ludicrous anti armour to a dueling sword is beyond me.
I believe there are many things that need to be done to Veteran before plasma gun nerfs are released.
The changes to the Duelling Sword and the Plasma Gun represent potential changes we have been working on, and are not ready for release. We are still evaluating them and will share updated and more specific changes once they are ready.
I understand that, which is why I wrote “discussed changes”. I was thinking that community feedback on those not final changes might be helpful.
But in anyway, it is good that you clear that up.
Could you also pass on to look into the range of tac axes? They have a shorter range than knives and reel like T-Rex arms. Me and many others would be very grateful.
For plasma i think they go too far, don’t care much about sword.
