I’m not sure if it’s because every class was buffed, but Auric HISTG is now almost laughably easy. Players were mostly just steamrolling through the enemies as they advanced, with very few situations where we had to fall back and give ground.
Even without Gold Toughness, players hardly ever went down. The only time we were really at risk of a wipe was against the boss on the new map, but I think that was mainly because many players, myself included, still didn’t understand the mechanics.
Tbh it feels kinda the same but something that does feel slightly different is gunners…which seems to be a bit spicier against my Ogryn in auric, even with my gunner curios?
This is my last campaign game, not even auric histg, and people still went down a couple of times… (the 4th was an Ogryn player with 0 downs, he instantly left at the end, so he’s missing from scoreboard).
Havoc got slightly easier, simply because they buffed Psyker and Ogryn which are two most meta and most important Havoc classes.
The director seems to be putting the same amount of stuff in front of us but at least on the few games as Vet the extra damage from innate/extra talent points and the .5 stam regen delay is noticeable. Poxbursters and snipers doing less damage is also noticeable. Also something I want to test is how the burster damage falloff affects damage versus another poxburster, it seems like I encountered a couple cases where staggered (as in space between two bursters) bursters that previously would have blown each other up left one alive. This previously would be a risky situation to push the first burster but now it seems safer?
Easier absolutely, new weapons and huge buffs. I was trying to do a Hi-STG true solo with Veteran using my new favorite build before the update to no success, after the update I did it on the first try.
It feels to me like you’ve some stupid grudge against me or something, multiple times I’ve seen you come in with some excuse to dismiss others when I or someone says the game’s too easy.
No grudges here, but “too easy” and not “hard enough for skilled, high hour players” are entirely different concepts, calling a game like Darktide an easy game is frankly ridiculous.
If the game was easy people wouldn’t be dying left and right in auric and havoc.
