Telling someone that they do not warrant an actual response because of how they sound while describing their post as “seething” is a form of ad hominem.
You make it seem as if I did not respond to anyone else, as if I did not address anyone’s questions or opinions. Implying that I was already criticized and it has be validated, this is what you appeared to justify your ad hominem attack on. For the most part other users just explain how Darktides progression is worst than hell divers 2, something that has nothing to do with what I said. My original post was about helldivers 2.
There is nothing for you to repeat because there is nothing for you to reference to. This just seems like vague posting to avoid accountability.
What makes this amusing is if everything was discussed and there was nothing you could add without “repeating” then there would be no reason for you to say anything. Like I stated before. Every definition of ad hominem refers to personal attacks. Your link is something different. Again, I concedethat that does in fact describe what I ended up doing more or less accurately, I was merely detailing my thought process as it was at the time.

You’re applying the worst possible interpretation of my intentions on what I said and in some areas inflating it into something it never was. That’s a you thing, not a me thing. Where your criticism is valid I’ve apologized and I did it sincerely.

A personal attack in itself is not a fallacy. If someone argues 2+2=8 and you respond with “no 2+2=4, dummy”. That would not qualify as an ad hominem because it addressed the problem directly, it did not ignore or disregard the substance of what was actually said. Personal insults are just rude.

An ad hominem does not need to be intentional. The effect is still the same.
The problem is still the same. There was a failure to engage in conversation constructively.
Inexperienced debaters and politicians intentionally commit this all the time. It comes from a lack of confidence, it’s usually defensive.

No official word. My money is still on next week, however there is reveals coming up since this is the E3 time of the year. Even though it’s dead it seems like it’s tradition lives on.

The PC Gaming Show is this Sunday (I believe pre launch Darktide was featured on it?)
There’s probably more I’m missing. If there’s an Xbox/Microsoft related event it could be featured there.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we at least got a full actual trailer, rather than a look at the location, but not a dev blog on the same day.
Same, like i said time n time again, any system is better than the one we have right now.
Lock removal only is cool but personally highly doubt it would come to fruition so I welcome the overhaul more.
I’d rather prime people on the revamp more than the locks being removed unlike that one guy on reddit did. Then people would expect the right thing and not get as pissed as much.
