Please keep the moebian horde enemies after the event

ogryn tired of beating the same bums in pajamas for almost 2 years, sah.

no sport in beating them out of their bra, ogryn feels bad for them having lost a slipper.

at least blue punies have mil-it-ary clothes and look like gooood fight.

giving rahsuns in return, sah. :hamburger:

now on a serious note, the new event is fun, not auric maelstrom fun sadly but fun nontheless.
i might be wrong but even the density and placement “feels” better.
wouldn´t like to see them gone once the event is over.

I think at least from Damnation there should be a core of those corrupted moebian in every horde, it makes them more interesting. Not a modifier, just the normal horde. And let the modifier be all the hordes composed of moebians.

Love the Moebian horde. Dunno why, but it reminds me of the VT2 halloween modifier where all the rats have green eyes  Well, that’s how I remember it anyway.

Psychologically, that armour just makes me think “go for the head”, which is also a good re-training of the brain as I’d gotten lazy with lacerate. Speaking of which, maybe they shouldn’t bleed … that’d be an interesting resistance modifier. Or bleed green “Vulkan” blood, which is mildly toxic in proximity like the daemonhosts proximity corruption. Dunno. I got carried away there

I dont wanna jinx it, but I hope it’s a test for future enemy combatants/variants.

They’re not that interesting to fight, they’re basically just poxwalkers with boosted armour and health that can no longer be staggered by most melee attacks. If your team is competent it adds 5-10 minutes to the mission timer and that’s about it.

Their models don’t look finished to me. They barely look infected also, but with some polish I can see them stay.

Also please add Nurglings

no horde enemy is “interesting to fight”, they’re basically mobile toughness recharge stations.

its about visual variation and appeal and in that regard i have more satisfaction from whacking on combat units than civilians in nightgowns.

not that i got a problem stomping civies, there’s just “less reward”

im not calling for a switch of horde enemies, just sprinkle some moebian units in from time to time and im happy.

also agree with the nurglings, like those tyranid larvae from sm2 filling the whole floor slithering over each other.

I have to agree with this. Their uniforms seem too clean, both in terms of a lack of grime and nurglish grossness but also a lack of kit. They’re basically wearing pants, a shirt and a flak vest with nothing else. Just looks a little half-baked.

I’d be down for more Trash variation. Maybe they could sprinkle them into the existing groaners. I also wouldn’t mind getting the occasional shieldless Ogryn in the mix, but that might just be because I like fighting Ogryns too much.

Yeah, also how come they were issued gear (armour vest, uniform which fits on a half starved man-child?

+1 for keeping the moebian hordes, they’re different enough from the normal zombies. the models could just use some touching up.

Also, their weapons appear improvised, no? Surely they would have more standard issue melee weapons. I am not sure what that would be that wouldn’t require any additional animation work, but surely they could get something more thematic.

Heres to the hope that moebian horde is just an alpha test for future enemy types.

Please, let’s not do that. The poor 21st have suffered enough already without becoming a permanent part of the enemy’s trash-horde composition…

Can we call some attention to just how fragging odd their uniforms are, though? All of the Moebian 21st we’ve seen up to this point have been wearing the Cadian-style flak armour with tucked-in shirts that all of our Rejects get, but the infected are wearing the Moebian 6th’s long tunics and heavier body armour combined with the Moebian 21st’s unique bell-shaped shoulder guards and A NURGLE-SYMBOL BELT BUCKLE!!!

The art work they used to introduce the even is pretty cool. Those dudes actually look threating. The anorectic wannabe zombies we got look…a bit comical.

But for the love of the Emperor please stop Rannick/Morrow spamming the same vox messages every damn time I load into a lobby. Yes, I got it, they are infected, move on with your lives.

I disagree…
But they could make things interesting with these hordes. Like such hordes spawning in sections with scabs and other hordes (groaners, poxwalkers) for dregs sections…

But I like to see it as a condition. And with penances associated.

When I cut them in half with power sword, they have the same torso ragdoll as poxwalkers, so they lose their armor and it looks funny.
