Please @Fatshark Give me , us, a Auto Sprint as a Option .. (Push left stick forward and Sprint)

It would make the game more fluid .. love the game … but that’s the only missing feature I would love to see .. I just a Option who doesn’t like it don’t have to turn it on . that’s all . not trying to start a war here , For People Who say “Toggle on, off, is not AUTO Sprint, It Means : Not To Press IN L3 but just to push forward, UP or flick it up

I’m pretty sure sprint toggle exists already in the game, by turning off “hold to sprint”.

The toggle deactivate when you do an action that prevent sprinting (Like attacking, ads…).

I’m not really understanding the need for it, but I can see it I guess.

I think he means on controller as thread topic mentions push left stick.

Many games on consoles you have to vertically push left analog stick down inwards then directional forward to run. Never made sense because the stick is well analog, so really a half stick forward should activate sprint to make use of it (or allow adjustable).

See Xbox and PS5 examples below.

It can cause a lot of thumb strain.

Looking at Darktide controller mapping, which doesn’t seem to let you custom remap only select pre-configured alternatives. The default one doesn’t look good because it has dodge and jump on same button. So if on controller might be better to try the other button layouts to keep them separate.

PC players always have separate key for dodge and jump and not leave them both on spacebar to avoid accidently jumps when intending to dodge.

Not To Press IN L3 but just to push forward, UP …

So what would you have to do to simply walk forward?

Vermintide 2 has this same problem and honestly I don’t love any of their pre-configured layouts.

An auto sprint setting would be helpful for controller players as the constant wear and tear on the left stick eventually junks the Analog stick and . You won’t walk forward anymore you always sprint then, that’s Why I said A “Option” simply my choice , nobody forces you to change it to auto sprinting if you don’t like that Option …I come from games where auto sprint exists and just got used to it that it’s annoying to go back to pressing in L3 all the time, plus I’ve learned to prefer it that way .

that’s another problem for some players .

But do the games that have auto sprint have stamina management and multi use stamina ?

yes Dying Light , for example .

I haven’t played DL or DL2, but from what I see, stamina isn’t used for running ?

Is that correct ?

Here we go again .. listen bro I know how to manage my stamina, been playing since launch, like I’ve said it’s my choice, so It’s on me what I do with my character and how I manage and how I operate my character, and whatever I do with my stamina only affects my player, you don’t lose stamina if I do right ?

But like moving forward would force you to use stamina no ?

If you can’t chose to not sprint ?

I repeat it’s a option for a single human being , not for everybody, I just want that option to be in the game for me and then a player can decide if he wants to use it or not, I only speak for my self and my self only, I respect others peoples choices,

Like this would work:

So a player can adjust the the size of the axis of the analog stick to trigger between either run or walk based on distance away from centre.

It’s not what I’m talking about , but I know what you saying bro, a game called THE FINALS has such option .. you can set to immediately sprint after flicking it up or adjust it on how much you push it away from the center of the analog stick and then start sprinting … it’s very comfortable I must say , devs are getting creative with options these days , which is a good thing

The reason why I asked a modder to add the option to allow to use the run key as a toggle between walk and run…
This setting is something I cannot use… you always end at walking and getting killed.
