Please add low level, Psyker specific, warp using weapons

In the beginning of the game, you are made to choose between a vast array of lore and background story to say how you ended up where you were at the beginning of the game. As a Psyker you have a pretty rough life, and you either have to hide your powers, or use them very carefully to not be killed or fed to the Emperor.

It then feels very strange that in all the time, you never found or created something that helped you channel or concentrate your energy, you just freestyled it with your bare hands. You would think there would be crystal balls, fetishes made of bones and metal, knives carved with symbols… something you used before being ‘drafted’ to channel your powers more carefully and effectively.

Even setting all that aside, AND taking into account how much the Empire’s citizens hate and fear Psykers… wouldn’t someone in charge say, ‘…and make sure that damned Psyker gets some proper gear so they don’t end up exploding one of our teams or summoning some demon or something!’ At the very least, officials within the Empire who know what Psykers do and CAN do would be sure they were equipped with at least some basic crap to prevent them from killing the teams they’re sending in to do work for them, no matter how expendable they consider those teams. You don’t see teams being sent in barehanded, so why put a gun in the Veteran’s hands, a cudgel in the Ogryn’s hands, an axe in the Zealot’s hands, and… another gun in the Psyker’s hands? Everyone gets class specific weapons except the Psyker?

It honestly feels like the devs themselves somehow developed a hatred of the Psykers, and so are treating them like third class citizens, barely to be tolerated. Low level Psyker leveling is painful to slog through, and has a lot of instances where you’re literally forced to play as a Veteran without any skills or toughness because that’s the only type of weapons they give you, and you’re too easily killed to play as a Zealot.

If Psykers are given access to their powers early game, it would do a lot to make said gameplay more fun, and prepare new players for the intensity at higher levels, along with making them somewhat more familiar with the types of weapons they come into contact around level 15 and on. …if those weapons actually appear in the shops, that is. :stuck_out_tongue:
