Plea to put the story in the game

I was cooking dinner and thought to myself “hmmm, what exactly is the current state of atoma and tertium?..”

So i wanted to make a thread here and ask, but when i googled “tertium” to check the spelling i found this :
https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTide/comments/15cfutt/so_how_much_of_tertium_is_taken_hover/

Then i thought… Wow, i literally had absolutely no idea about the 90% of the stuff written there. There’s so much lore out there and its completely invisible to the average eye.

then we have stuff like this :

The vox intercepts and the little lore posts in the form of journal snippets and stuff. They’re very nice but, why cant we read/listen to them INSIDE THE GAME?

They would be such a great addition to the empty and dead morningstar.
I mean you actually hired a famous writer and it was celebrated greatly but you dont actually put his work into use. It just… Sits somewhere in old blog posts and unused lore text files or whatever. Or hidden in dialogue noone will ever hear because the chance of actually triggering the dialogue is literally one in a million.
You hired the guy so you might as well use the stuff you paid for right?

So here are my 2 ideas for 2 places that can be built into the morningstar to add lore/story to the game so that most people can actually read/listen to it.

  1. A library, where you can read all the lore about atoma and the universe of 40k.
be it the moabians, the lives and jobs of the citizens of tertium, the nobility of atoma, its history and infrastructure, tech priests, inquisitors, psykers, the holy god emperor etc etc etc

  2. A radio room (or vox room however you want to call it) where we can listen/intercept vox transmissions from our allies, wyrmwood (or whatever their name was), our enemies and their movements/plans, and diary snippets like the ones from zola and mommy Hadron and others.

There are more benefits to the lore being easily accessible to the player then just them having something to read while they wait for a team.
With library lore you can scatter scrolls, books, pages of lore around the mission and have players pick them up. Just like the paintings in vermintide.
With vox you can have special mission modifiers to hack into enemy cogitators to extract the vox intercepts, and have several mini defense phases just like mobile defense in warframe.
That would be much much much better experience then… Going to youtube and listening to it there…
Not only would it incentivize us to play the game more to get the lore but getting those vox messages might motivate some people to play the new “event” again or for the first time.

With the recent “mini event” what you could’ve had done was add those hacking mini stages to get the karnak twin vox intercept along with the darkness and the twin attacking us. And that would already be a much “fresher” experience. It’d be something new not the same old boring stuff.
I would much rather be rewarded with lore and story rather then a bunch of dockets and plat which i already have more then i know what to do with.
