One wrong choice equals doomed failure, and some people just don’t want to waste time on it.
I will not leave immediately, but will try to convince my teammate to change, and if he refuses, obviously, this time the chance of losing the game is already more than 80%, I will continue, but will leave the party immediately after the defeat instead of trying again.
I’ll only try multiple times with players who have a good enough understanding of the Havoc, not with players who choose the wrong build in the first place.
What are they suppose to do about it? they already made it private teams to enter you’d think they’d leave before launching havoc… or you wanting to force them into match before they leave you… punishing players for leaving mid match? Not something you’d typically want to do to your player base… that’s small.
There is a feasible solution to this issue: balance the game properly.
Outside of that there is not much to be done. People are free to leave a lobby and shouldn’t be punished for that in the slightest. If you want a punishment for leaving Havoc mid-game, then this is still just treating the symptoms rather than the core issue but I guess it’s feasible as a band-aid.
Everything about havoc outside of havoc 40 breeds toxicity. Nobody at 40 cares cuz they cant demote but everyone else wants what they want or nothing at all because of the demote mechanic. In my opinion people who leave havoc games should be penalized worse then well u have to wait ten minutes till this havoc missions over cuz people will just go play a mission and go right back to the havoc board. Of course people who dc shouldnt be punished but there are too many leavers at all levels of play. Im stuck mid 20’s and people constantly leave within ten minutes of a run. The real problem with havoc is the demote mechanic, period. If that mechanic didnt exist I wouldnt care at all about anything cuz I can just keep trying until I ultimately get to 40. There are too many people playing havoc who go down in 4 minutes and instantly leave and now you have a worthless bot that will ultimately cost you the run.
You should be punished if were 90 seconds into a run and the moment you go down you instantly leave the game, usually causing someone else to leave 30 seconds later after they go down leading to a swift loss. We already deal with people constantly leaving auric and maelstrom missions but the difference is you can win those missions with a bot but you are more than likely losing a havoc 20+ mission with a bot. Most of my havoc missions dont even last 15 minutes because people leave the moment they go down. What about people who leave in the ready up screen and now we have a bot and someone has one try left before they demote back down to a mission they just beat an hour ago? Everything about havoc screams toxicity.
