We’ve had multiple instances of a player dying, then respawning at some logical respawn point. Shortly before the team gets there, the soon-to-be-rescued player is teleported to a respawn point much further forward, even if the original point is still ahead of the team in map progression. This results in a lot of extra downtime for the downed player, and obviously makes the run harder for the rest of the team.
eg. in Tower of Treachery, the player dies and respawns at the tree in Lustria. While the team is climbing the tree, poof, rescuee is beyond the vine-climbing part of the map that comes after the tree.
Addendum: Sometimes not ahead. At the Beacon in Khazukan Kazakit-ha, the rescuee usually teleports to the armory room below the Beacon. Still part of the event area and reachable, but it’s curious that they respawned on the side platform near the pressure plate and then poof, to the armory they go.
