Fatshark took it out of the game to fix something, promising to bring it back soon. That was in 2023.

I just figured they replaced feature with visual nervous system when out of range… which is very hard to see and non-existent in range. I very much miss V2 outlines especially since some allies look like enemies now and i keep wasting ammo.

Until devs dont bring it back, well if it ever happen.

What is the default behavior for the game?
Sorry, my game is too modded to rely on it…

When players goes behind walls you see a very slight nervous system structure in light blues and orangish core. At far distances this becomes harder/impossible to see and close range its invisible.

Actually, to be honest, I hesitate to hide everything… this is what I did about such lines, but I had to keep nameplates, just to be able to identify the guy that is playing good or.. the baby aventurer.

Oh wow, player outlines did indeed exist for a short period, and were removed in 1.0.21:

I’m looking in to this, but it might take me a lil while to report back. :sweat_smile:

Hello! So, it seems the heart hologram was intended to take the place of player outlines.

Feedback on this is welcome of course. :+1: I understand it’s been shared that it’s hard to see, etc.

oh yeah i remember that heart thing, what ever happened to that?

if there were FF i dont think a vet would ever survive a game with me , i routinely think they are the enemy

I’d like the option for it be always on as outlines in V2 has in menu options and brighter the farther an ally is =)

Outline always on options who agrees?

  • Yes, heartbeat
  • Yes, old outline
  • No

Yeah no reason it can’t be another option of style of outline I do like more choices
