It gets very confusing in the dark with certain cosmetics and dogs, even more confusing than playing alongside Necromancer’s skeletons in Vt2.
It’s not just the cosmetics or the Arbites dogs, it’s everyone combined now. So many times I think I should hit something that turns out to be either a teammate or their dog. It really turns into a clustertruck, and sound cues are not enough.
Also, with 2-3 Arbites there are simply too many friendly characters on the screen as well - instead of 3 friendlies now there’s up to 7, that’s more than double.
Can you post a screenshot of how outlines look?
Players move differently.
And have nameplates.
It would GREATLY improve enemy/ally recognition if they would just always show you the nametags above their heads. For a reason completely incomprehensible to me they decided to implement it in such way it sometimes just disappears, or shown with a delay. I just hope it’s a bug, and not intentional design in an attempt to make it more “realistic” - that would be rather.. shortsighted.
right now there seems to be an oversight with outlines on arbites, guess they’ll fix it next.
buddy only sees my head with outlines but dog fine.
i wouldnt know since for immersion and clean ui purposes i disable almost everything in that regard.
but yeah, “options” are always good as long as i can switch em off.
