Just a quick post to say we’ve created a ‘Player Guides’ section for Darktide as requested. It can be seen right here:
Perhaps you’ve recently completed a tricky Penance and wanted to share how you did it, or maybe you’re a seasoned veteran with wisdom to share. Whatever your expertise, we hope everybody feels comfortable sharing their knowledge here, and that it can one day become a valuable resource for the community!
@FatsharkJulia Is there any reason we’re still using separate boards instead of tags for this sort of content management? Is it so that things like build guides aren’t subject to the 7-day inactivity lock?
I’ve been part of many online forums over many years, and the vast, VAST majority of them ended up with one or two boards that held 90% of content. The rest of the boards, despite having interesting purposes, mostly get ignored by the community while the content that was meant for those boards often just gets posted to those one or two popular ones.
We’ve experimented with the Tag approach in the past during one of our Betas, for Vermintide 2 I think, but it didn’t work well. The Tags were not used consistently and it resulted in a bit of a mess. I don’t see us moving away from the current structure for that reason.
